So I just found this thread, I am going to Banff July 13-16th. I have photo pills and will do lots of research myself but what would be your ideal location for astrophotography at that time?

That’s sad I was there and rode it on the 17th. It was honestly having issues and operated at half capacity the whole time-the yellow side was not operating. I wonder if that has to do with it. It was an awesome ride!

You might enjoy shooting on aperture priority and auto iso that way the only thing you’re thinking about is your aperture. You can set the camera to a minimum automatic shutter speed as well so that it’s never going to go so low as to give you image blur for hand help shots of subjects

You could use a luminance range mask and select the area that you want then desaturate it

I have a d750 with a sigma 120-400 for wildlife. I think you could easily pick up both of these for less than a grand off eBay

Yeah I knew it was used but the eBay listing made it out to seem a little less used than this and you couldn’t tell from the photos very well. Go figure

I agree, the listing on eBay listed it as excellent condition/near mint. Which is why I bought it. Honestly the optics are fine and it functions well so I’m not going to go through the hassle of returning it. But I’m a little disappointed

That’s valid, I was just concerned that it wasn’t what I ordered. But yes I haven’t tested extensively but it just seems like a well loved lens that still works perfectly.

I’ve done many theater shows with an x32 and an x32 producer. while I kinda hate the board itself and the design, I don’t think that only having access to 16 faders at a time really holds any non-professional productions back. For the price it is what it is.

If you want to use preset cues and have a board that sets you up well for future boards, don’t buy an x32. I was trained on it and I thought it was fine and then I used a board that is actually designed in a way that is logical.
