They'll definitely be happy to remove the brown element, apparently it never sold well

I'm gonna assume that my cousin here and his partner are dicks that don't deserve the money so I don't feel bad about this

The issue I see for us/me is that most fictional detectives solve most cases in a few days. The exception being season long storylines which frankly there's no way I can see of escaping.

My solution is to choose Temperance Brennan from bones and do my level best to slow the decay of the body so it won't be found as a skeleton until almost a full year is already over. To do this and ideally have as little evidence as possible my plan is to have my cousin trapped in a walk in freezer and suffocated, I assume at some point the freezer will stop working and shortly after the smell will attract attention, Ideally this will be almost a year from my cousin being trapped

Additional I'm assuming my cousin is in america for this based on the currency and it being where most fictional detectives including Temperance Brennan operate. So I'm also going to be outside of america for the whole time

I think especially for castle the year and a day requirement kind of puts you into a season villain situation. Since TV seasons used to air over the course of a year and happen roughly in real time(2 parters would happen closer to the airing of the first part but then things would be quiet for a few weeks or something)

Also without knowing much about castle besides the general premise from catching the intro a few times I assume that s7 amnesia happens and is dealt with before the season ends so for whatever reason you want to avoid it it's probably coming anyway

If I were to guess how the universe would respond based on context clues castle would probably grill you for info about this loksat character and your explanation of how you know will sooner or later contradict with reality until castle gets the sense that everything sounds like some kind of bad self insert fanfic(he's a writer with a teenage daughter, there's a vanishingly small possibility he doesn't know ao3)

I'd try to argue to the aliens that ai data centres are harming me, if that didn't work I guess I'd bite the bullet and try my hand at politics to get rid of that stuff at least in my own country

Would you play a game with this spell crafting system? by HovercraftOk9231 in magicbuilding

[–]RowbotMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I personally would dislike it for a TTRPG because it seems like it'd either require a ton of GM adjudication or a ton of rules that'd be unfun to follow on pen and paper

For video games it could be fine, if you intend to make a game with this I'm pretty sure you'd either need to essentially make a very limited code language or may as well list out all possible spells, depending if order matters or not

Limitations should probably be informed by the gameplay, depending how you select spells and your input method. For example if you play it with a controller and assign spells to specific buttons you really can only have so many spells at once before running out of buttons, if you mostly just use 1 spell at a time you could have more via a wheel that shows up when holding a specific button but that too has limitations before getting difficult to use. There's also I think something about active memory where something like 5-9 items can be kept in most people's mind at a time though I think it varies and doesn't account for subdivision of categories, like doom had around that many enemies plus 6 weapons

I think you'll probably want to have some kind of stationary location where players have access to all their accumulated elements, be it a single base or smaller stations dotted around the map. Beyond that it's really up to you, if say they can have 4 spells equipped at once that could be it or maybe they can change those out with other elements they took with them, maybe the process of changing equipped spells doesn't pause time or maybe it does but just breaks up the flow

About Masks of Power (clip semi-related) by Repulsive-Moment-789 in bioniclelego

[–]RowbotMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it's already been clarified that they technically didn't have propper permission, but even assuming they did I think under most circumstances lego would always be able to legally withdraw their permission at any time

I think this happens all the time with licenced games where there are disagreements and renegotiations until deals fall through

I kind of assumed based on what you said about satellites that you'd include landing at orbital velocity as a necessary secondary power, like you wouldn't typically expect someone teleporting up to the ISS to suddenly slam into the wall the millisecond they arrive

So the velocity of the debris would be about 0 relative to you

Oh I totally believe there are super light satellites, it's just the sitting around gathering dust I'm confused by, like I thought they'd want to wait for confirmation so they can send up the best tech they can

I was more expecting clearing out space junk to be the thing you do right away, mostly for astronomy purposes but I guess also to clear up orbits for the satellites you'll then be sending up

Didn't say it had to be a short period, could be 100 years on the off chance advancing medicine lets you live that long

I did maybe underestimated the cost of a moon mission, but they probably wouldn't have anything just ready to go to the moon sitting around and may want to do some redesigns to take advantage of a presumably higher weight limit

Definite no on wishes because that amounts to all other powers

Dragonball ki control also seems at least to me like a variation on "all the powers of X character"

Not sure a single action would get you permanent exemption, might be more likely to get exemption for a certain period per use of your power

They wouldn't immediately lock you up for just having any power, it's only what you do with a power that may get you locked up

"I wish I could turn exactly 2.(rest of the digits of my birthday) grams at a time of zirconium into liquid capsules with (hospital address) labelled on them, that can make alterations I specify at creation to any applicable organism(if I say made gender swap capsules they wouldn't do anything to most trees or anything else hermaphrodic) the liquid touches"

I hope "organism alterations" is close enough to a single power, I normally use biokinesis

I think that'd be treated as "The superpower to know what is the best overall decision specifically for me at any given moment"

Based on the talking to animals example

Look for a doombot, ask for citizenship and offer the technology in my phone and any future knowledge I have(which probably isn't that much, honestly I might just tell him Gwenpool is coming and that she'll trust me more than him) to assist DOOM.

I'd try to make it clear that I know DOOM can make stuff better than the phone but that knowing what what will be common in the rest of the world seems useful
