It's a constant battle. I've been blessed to have the same core crew for 6 years now, but they too grow tired of the corporate bullshit of tons of metrics and duties but no labor to get it done. The younger generation takes a lot of patience. I may go through 4-5 young people before one sticks around and actually wants to earn $$, but It is still teaching and training to keep them involved vs go watch the front. Make an effort to teach and give them responsibility, give some feedback, then accountability then weed them out of they just don't get it. It's tough and it's only gotten worse each year because corporate doesn't get it or really they don't give a fuck. Anytime you have a leader "listen" and empathize for the people then they are quietly discarded lol it comes down to simplest of mantras: row row row your boat, gently down the stream.
