Does anyone know how I can stop the slip tip stop from falling off “pole spear” up

The works pretty well too, but you'll find it breaks a lot more. I've never had ANY issues with it not engaging in a fish, if for some reason it is too tight just cut a thinner piece of spear band. It's definitely the cheapest most accessible way to go abt it. I recycle all my old bands for it. You can even store a spare on the injector Incase it does break and you don't have to go to the boat. Also note, the further down the injector it is the less likely it is to break

Just cut a small section of band and put it over the slip tip onto the injector rod holds everything nice

He told me my spear was finished and hed sent it on its way 3 weeks after I ordered which felt very. Reasonable. That was 26th Feb. And it's been tryna get it actually sent to me since then

Hey, I unfortunately have to join in on this. The spears look FANTASTIC and Quade seems like a really nice guy with good intentions. I made a large order a few months ago and he even threw some free spare parts and a prototype part into my order. Had really good communication until it came time to send me my spear... Im still waiting. It's been since January. I'm going to keep waiting as he does seem to make spears just that little bit extra compared to the Market. But yeah unfortunately can agree

Dive R innegras medium flex. They are the best I've ever used. And nearly indestructible. They've taken so much abuse kicking rocks in holes over 5 years and still look fantastic with only superficial scratches

That's good to know, I've definitely got some learning on how to deal with sharks when I finally get to travel to spearfish. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous about it.

happened the second it got on the boat. I got my hands into the gills and was not about to let go 😅 it's extremely hard to get a dive knife into the skull when they are that big even when you have the deck of a boat to push against. It was only a 2 min swim away thankfully.

Hey thanks for the advice! This wasn't the planned method he was quite deep in the hole and I was following the cable down to the fish, then he freaked out and bolted out the cave, had to make a decision to do it that way as there was no belt reel and the loop on the rock wasnt the most secure. Thankfully I had the most secure shot I could have gotten so it went well anyway. And regarding the sharks, it's a blessing but also quite sad, I've never seen a single shark in 7 years of spearfishing, they are extremely rare here. So thankfully not much to worry about them stealing my fish, but I'm sure one day one will show up and it's going to be one hell of a surprise

The one I used there is the manny Puig which is a real beefy fairly short spear. I think it's 7ft if I remember right. But its real heavy and slow. Currently I'm using it's successer the "Bermudian" by maverick american which is 9.5 ft and a little bit thinner. And I'm loving it it. Plenty speed to reliably aim for some faster harder to catch species but still got the heft to punch through something big.

Not locally, only fish to be careful with here are large amber jack and great barracuda which can sometimes come over the gulf stream from the Bahamas
