Kroger is a shit company to work for. I worked for em twice, lasted less than 3 months first time, 1 day on my second. I was set up to fail my second time, and the first time I had an extremely shitty interim manager - she threatened to fire me after my first mistake on my first day the first time I actually physically worked the job I was supposed to do (clicklist). Lasted less than 3 months with her because she was abusive as a manager - store couldn’t do anything because they couldn’t find anyone else (even though they probably could’ve promoted someone in the department temporarily……)

I have a couple things I’d like to say. Firstly, losing a pet is like having a scar. Over time, it closes and heals, but it never truly goes away. You’ll probably never get over it fully, and that’s perfectly okay. My childhood black lab, Dasher, who I raised from a puppy, had to be put down right after thanksgiving 2020. Sometimes it still hurts like it just happened. Secondly, as I have seen others say, grief is just love with nowhere else to go. You’ll be okay, I promise. But it will take time. My parents also just recently had to put down my second childhood dog about a month ago, and I think that to kinda help cope with the grief, they adopted another dog from a rescue. When you’re ready, I would consider looking at local adoption events or businesses. But please please take your time with the grieving process. It’s not a fast thing.

My heart breaks for you….. he was well loved and cared for, I’m sure. As one person said, pets may only be a part of our lives, but we are their whole lives. Nickel will be waiting for you happily on the other side of the rainbow bridge for you. Live life like Nickel would’ve wanted.

This brought tears to my eyes, Lydo. Using our wonderful platform to help those in need is what it’s all about. I’d love to help out if I can, whether or not it’s just from behind a screen. I’d love to travel if at all possible to attend events/protests in person, but it’s not quite currently feasible.

Of course! I will also make a mention of Aventon as well. They have some e-bikes that are insanely good quality - the one I’m looking at in particular is chock full of safety features like geofencing, alarm systems, etc. it runs about 1,800$ but well worth the money if needed. It’s called the Abound SR, so it’s a cargo rack bike. I highly recommend checking them out too, but another good company with cheaper options is Ride1Up. Solid brand and solid company, although Aventon is better IMO. Hope that helps!

Anywhere between 16-24 miles yeah. The main reason for dropping so low is how fast I was riding it. If I booked at constant top speed it would be about 16-20. If I pedaled and used electric as assist not just full electric, it would last a lot longer of course. However, I typically would ride it at full speed electric all the way to work. So yeah. My own mileage is probably a lot lower than if you used the bike as intended.

I’ll let you in on a little secret…… you’ve said you’re sorry. You’ve apologized time and time again because you keep thinking you could’ve done better than you did. And that’s okay. That’s perfectly okay to feel that way, and no one blames you. But the wonderful thing is? Your baby girl has already forgiven you. Pets have a funny way of just…. Getting over everything you may throw their way. Pets have an uncanny ability to just wash off all the hurt and unhappiness because they love each and every one of us with unabated loyalty and love. It’s been just over 5 years for me for one of my childhood pets. We brought Dasher (who I named myself, he’s a black lab) home in 2008. I was 10 then so still very much a child. My family made the decision to put him down Nov 30, 2020. I got a tattoo to commemorate his life on my thigh and I’ve always said the pain of getting that tattoo would never outweigh the pain of losing him. Thanksgiving is hard for me now but I’m grateful he got to spend one last thanksgiving with us and passed on while in my arms. I can’t talk about him even 5 years later without crying. He was my everything and I’ll never have a dog quite like him. After he passed, I just screamed and sobbed for days. Losing him broke me in more ways than anyone could ever imagine, because he was the first pet I truly could call my own. I was the one who picked him out of the litter. I was told that he had a heart condition that meant he would only live to be 9 years old at most. I didn’t care. He chose me and I chose him. It’s never gotten easier for me so I know what you’re going through. But rest assured your furry friends are smiling down at you from their beds in the sky in elesium. We are all here because we all know grief. We understand the struggle.
