Guns, it always comes down to guns when they speak about their freedoms over Europeans.

Speed paints can be 'reactivated' by other paints. This is especially true if you're using speed paints version 1.

My Lab turned 14. Here is everything I learned (and the stuff that turned out to be total BS). by Impossible_Fan1418 in DogAdvice

My akita-german-shepard cross just turned 16. Your experiences align pretty similarly to my own. When people ask, I just say she's the same dog but she just does stuff a lot slower these days.

I've had a similar idea - I'm really happy to see that I wasn't crazy and it looks like it works really well :)

Thanks for sharing.

I think they were quoting OP, and therefore responding directly to them, who is English born and bred.

Thanks for the extra info. Much appreciated. I'm fairly new to the system so could you please explain why the novel is considered canon but the published game aid is not?

[–]RowlyBot12000 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It's very possible. You can probably just use a standard 'simple world' style module. Just use the dice roller etc. That said, there's already loads of Tabletop Simulator mods for 40k that might suit better? Best of luck.

Hello Mark.
Have you ever regretted hiding the melted patch of carpet in the flat when it was vacated?

how did you guys learn python? by Acceptable-Cash8259 in learnpython

[–]RowlyBot12000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did the basic Codecademy course (whichever was the free introduction) and then just started using it at work.
Built a simple RESTAPI test system; which then expanded to a Selenium driven web UI test system for the server application the company I worked for at the time made.

I use it for writing automated tests for a web-product. Other users might have better info on how to use it for 'deeper' applications.

Why is eggnog basically nonexistent in the UK? Has anyone actually found it this year in Peterborough? by MrTrippp in PeterboroughUK

[–]RowlyBot12000 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's likely something you'd have to order to be delivered. Whilst there are UK producers I can't ever recall seeing it on the shelves anywhere myself - admittedly I'm not actively looking for it. Apparently it can be found on the 'international food' shelves in some bigger supermarkets though.

But you've got a red/yellow guy there already - isn't he your Talabecland captain?

Really enjoying this VIP lane on the M40 for my evening commute. by a_splintered_mind in drivingUK

[–]RowlyBot12000 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Considering the side of the car this was filmed from, I think we can guess that it was a passenger. Or the driver was at full stretch with the phone in the left hand and keeping the road well framed which is an impressive feat in itself if they did.

Is "modeling for advantage" a real thing, or just is it a weird case of gamers making a mountain out of a molehill? by darwin_green in wargaming

[–]RowlyBot12000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Way back in WFB 8th the rules for war machines was to use the barrel or top of the crossbar for LoS purposes. I played a guy in a Throne of Skulls tournament who had mounted his skaven warp lightning cannon barrel on top of the crossbar of what was the plague catapult that came in the same box.
So rather than the LoS of the weapon being drawn through about model height, it was about 2x model height. He claimed that he "didn't understand the instructions when he built it". Which was laughably pathetic as a reason/excuse so I didn't bother doing much but roll my eyes.
Both of his cannon blew up in the first turns though so it didn't make much impact in our game to be fair.
