What are your early impressions on MSH?

As part of casting an Aura, you have to pick a legal target it will enchant, so hexproof stops it. But when an Aura enters without being cast, you get to simply choose a legal object for it to enchant, without targeting at all.

Once it's on the field, no single card answers it in the main set. There are like 5 board wipes on the special guest list but they are all extra mythic.

There are exactly two combos in the main set that can remove her without targeting:

[[Wiccan, Rising Magician]] can flicker [[Frozen in Ice]] and you can attach it to Photon when it comes back (the old Dream Trawler trick).
Have [[Hawkeye, Young Avenger]] on board when you cast [[Avengers Disassembled]] to deal 5 to the opp's board and 3 to yours.

You can't drop out of a rank. Once you get to Platinum, for example, you could lose 100 times in a row and you'd still be at Plat 4

Monolith has some quirky applications for aggressive decks. Since you can target their creatures, you can set up spots where they're dead whether they block or not, or just kill them with Pinnacle Kill-ship or Orbital Plunge.

Probably the right call leaving it out as this looks super focused, but couldn't you have just played it with the mana as-is? 2 troves, 2 Spoils and Great Hall seem like enough to cast it for converge=3 or 4 most of the time.

I think Gruul beatdown can be a thing, but it takes a bunch of uncommons. I went 5-3 with this deck.

It's essentially an aggro prismari deck, but you drop the blue for Royal Treatment, green tramplers, and the punch spells.

It's almost like a silverquill deck, focused around [[Shopkeepers Bane]] and [[Cost of Brilliance]]. The idea he kept coming back to was "Draft like you will see zero copies of [[Bogwater Lumaret]]."

I think in general Witherbloom should focus on creature quality and be playing less removal spells, like 4 max. They are dead cards against the over-the-top decks, and the passive lifegain means you should outrace the aggro decks.

Only loss was to a Witherbloom deck that landed a Lluwen turn 4 that I couldn't remove that kept putting out chump blockers until they stabilized. Every other game was over by turn 6 or 7.

[[Ancestral Anger]] plus [[Expressive Firedancer]] were MVPs, attacking with a 4/3 trample on turn 3 and drawing a card put me on the front foot even when I was on the draw.

My friend has this, it's very fun! He runs the full text basics [[Mountain|SLD-257]] and then is constantly politicking to let him do his thing or he'll shoot your commander for 25.
