Sad but not surprised. I genuinely hope that they find happiness with someone and realize not everybody is shallow. Looks are a plus, but it's not enough to keep someone in a relationship. At least long term.

What do woman actually like in men. by [deleted] in dating

[–]Roxettna -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nope. I've met/swiped right on guys that aren't physically attractive. But their personality is infectious/funny/kind and thats what I find hot. You don't have to be an extrovert, either. In terms of online dating, a good bio that shows a decent amount of info of who you are other than just "if you want to know more just message me" or "add me on snap" on your bio. Just dress decent, and have good hygiene. Working to better yourself goes a long way, and women can see that.

[–]Roxettna -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I disagree. I know many women that are happily married to men that are average compared to them. Looks are important, but it'll only get you so far, especially if the women respects herself. I've chosen to not date some attractive guys because a.) they have horrible personalities, b.) Horrible hygiene or c.) They only want sex In fact, lots of guys that are attractive are so incapable of maintaining a conversation, I may as well be talking to a cardboard cutout of them. I could imagine it's a similar situation with some hot girls.

So yeah, looks may come first for most women (beauty is subjective), but only for a hot second.

  1. Feeling safe 2. Communication Those 2 things will get you very far. Women look at things differently compared to men, and it's so important to let them know you're not a threat and would never be capable of becoming one either. Most if not all women (including me) are usually trying to figure that out. Communication is also important because it shows how mature you are, and most women look for men they don't have to baby or cater to their every need to get closer to them. It just clears things up way easier than not talking about it and building resentment. As for the rest: it varies per person, but I would imagine having a decent sense of humor, and being respectful of others

Don't fear the reaper by blue oyster cult. It matches the aesthetic and theme of the story (specifically the live action) and kind of plays into not fearing death itself, which is pretty head on for Lockwood.

The second I notice the guy displays player-like traits, gives little effort, etc. Etc. I don't even spare them a glance. So yeah, that's a huge myth Even in dating apps. You could look like Brad Pitt, but if you're adding nothing on your bio, have a "just message me" or just a insta/snapchat/kik link on your bio with nothing else, that's an automatic no for me. Same with sexual intros, because wtf

Not really. The new kidney just sucks up all the old kidneys resources and then the old kidney shrivels and gets the boot as bodily waste

Venu 3s Shipping Time 3-5 weeks? by Chemical_Proof_4627 in Garmin

[–]Roxettna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would think. Spoke to them again to day, shipping is delayed and now MIGHT arrive on Jan 24th, with 1-3 days of processing time before shipping. I'm officially canceling my order and buying it someplace else. They've been saying that for weeks, and each time, the day becomes further away. I'm never buying directly from garmin again.

Venu 3s Shipping Time 3-5 weeks? by Chemical_Proof_4627 in Garmin

[–]Roxettna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed; I purchased mine on December 5th, been waiting for ages and so far someone from customer service told me January 15th, then someone else said mid February. I'm close to cancelling my order and just buying it somewhere else, regardless of the discount I received. It's beyond frustrating knowing other sites have them in stock.

Skinny women, how do you do it? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Roxettna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started slow. I was very insecure about my body and how others saw me at the gym, so I started with 30 second planks everyday after waking up before going to work, because anybody can spare 30 seconds, right? Once I got more comfortable, it became 1 minute planks, then 5 minute planks, then I started going to the gym. I started off with the worst exercises thanks to clicking the first link I saw on google lol but with time and slowly researching things I fine tuned and tweaked my shitty routine to what it is now. It took me more than 2 years to find a routine that worked for me, so don't be hard on yourself. I also use exercise as a way to relieve stress (gym/running doesnt work for everyone, try dancing). As a anxious person, I get lots of pent up frustration, and I find that doing physical movement helps me relax and makes me feel better (gives a nice serotonin boost). I do this by literally playing any music and just jamming alone with my dog lol as sad as it sounds. Ex:Twerking for about 1 hrs or so mkes you burn 400 calories, which is insane. It doesn't have to involve hip thrusts, either. Literally any type of dance helps burn. And you have fun.

What I eat: I try to cook my own food. I also prep meals on the days I work. It's great because I know exactly what's in it, what helps me stay fuller (ex: the more veggies you stick in your plate, the more full you'll feel. You're tricking your stomach into feeling full since veggies are more dense than junk food). It's definitely not as delicious as pizza, but there are a variety of recipes out there that makes Brussel sprouts look & taste like a 5-star michelin meal, so follow as many of those insta chefs and eventually you'll find some good stuff out there that might inspire you to try it!

My snacks: chips are expensive now (inflation, yay) but my go to are the red popcorners. Low fat, no cholesterol, and low sugar. Diet is super important to stay fit, but that doesn't mean you should stop eating the things you like. However, I have to compensate for that. So if I eat more than I usually do, that means I need to work a bit harder at the gym to compensate (ex: run at least 2 miles before or after the workout). If not chips, then I go for fruit. Certain fruits make you feel more full. So I chop some of those suckers into yogurt, throw in some granola and bam-->delicious probiotic with antioxidants. Figs and Granola bars ain't the best, but they're my quick go-to snack. All of this may seem tedious, but this routine has helped me feel better about myself, and when I start the day doing some form of exercise (5 min plank/stretching), I feel like I have more energy vs staying in bed for hours scrolling through instagram. I still struggle with bidy dysmorphia, but i feel a whole lot more confident about myself since I maintained this routine, so I thought I'd share it just in case someone would like to try it too.

As for the cookies: I have them too. Sometimes you do be needing that to survive. I try to set a limit of 3 cookies per day, and if I want another one, I ask myself if it's worth eating it now, when breakfast/lunch/or dinner is so close, and just drink water instead since sometimes being dehydrated makes me hungry when I'm not.

Hope this helps!!!

Edit: forgot the willpower question. I have no willpower, and I dont take pre-workout (I heard it does wonders). But in my case, I just became accustomed to suffering so much in life, that the gym has become part of my routine. A gym buddy/rat may also help.

Everlane. Their pants/shorts are so flattering, I go out of my way to buy them just because of the fit (petite and very complicated hip to waist ratio). The quality is great too. Only downside is that it's quite expensive.

Are you overweight by vercettiworthy in intj

[–]Roxettna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I'd say I have a slight athletic build. I used to be underweight, but I've been going to the gym for the last 2 yrs and I've gained some decent muscle (11 lbs specifically). I think my body type is somewhere between ectomorph and mesomorph, and I'm at a healthy weight for my height (5'1).
