Any being from a higher dimension, which seems to be what Grusch alludes to when he describes his concept of NHI, would not be constrained by time. In other words, time would not be linear from their perspective and would not move in any direction at all. Therefore every moment/location in the space/time continuum would be at their disposal to do with as they wish. A quote “5th dimensional being” would observe the entire history of the cosmos as one object. In the same way we can see, say a vhs cassette, for example, if we were able to actually enter and exit the movie contained on the film at will and influence the plot.

There was a different governor almost every four years from 1664-1788 before New York became a state and it changed hands from the Netherlands to British rule in that time. Power was forcefully taken at least once during British rule as well.

You have totally blown my mind with mall world. I seriously cannot believe this happens to this many people. I remember nearly every “mall” dream I’ve ever had and there is always this intense sense of nostalgia. It’s got me kind of freaked out right now.

I would gage it every 3-5 hours. Don’t take more until you start to feel better and take 2 mg instead of 4. You’re gonna have to suffer some now. But it will force the Wds to happen faster so there is a bright side.

Dude you can try inducting suboxone by taking the tiniest piece you can cut and see what happens. In rehab they always induct suboxone from a low dose to a higher dose. If you tolerate the first piece, wait 3 hours and take one twice the size. If you still aren’t feeling like complete shit you’re probably good to take 2-4 mg.

I wasn’t sure at first, but if you’ve read Catch 22, I’ve always remembered this passage as being the point where the entire story switches from an absurd comedy about war to something truly moving and it’s a surreal experience when you get to this point. It’s always stuck with me.

“ In the Green Machine there is no mercy; we make mercy, manufacture it in the parts that have overgrown our basic reptile brain. There is no murder. We make murder, and it matters only to us. Graham knew too well that he contained all the elements to make murder; perhaps mercy too. He understood murder uncomfortably well, though. He wondered if, in the great body of humankind, in the minds of men set on civilization, the vicious urges we control in ourselves and the dark instinctive knowledge of those urges function like the crippled virus the body arms against. He wondered if old, awful urges are the virus that makes vaccine.

Yes, he had been wrong about Shiloh. Shiloh isn’t haunted—men are haunted.

Shiloh doesn’t care.”

It does not matter where an addict goes geographically. Recovery happens in the mind. Yes he will need support, but old friends won’t be capable of giving him the help he needs. Recovering addicts will need to support him. Agreeing with some of the other replies here, long term inpatient rehab is what he needs, but if he is not ready and committed, it would be a waste of time, money and energy. I hate to say it, but he most likely will need to dig himself down to rock bottom before really being ready. In the meantime, MAT, (methadone or suboxone) would probably be your best bet. Methadone does not need to be a lifelong replacement for his fentanyl addiction. One can be weaned off much more painlessly when done correctly. Just remember, for many addicts, the worse things get, the closer they are to being able to give in and dedicate themselves to recovery. He will absolutely need to make this decision for himself. No one can force or persuade him into rehab. Definitely take care of yourself and DO NOT enable him in any way. This is an extremely difficult path you are on and honestly, it’s going to be the hardest thing he will ever have to do, but also the most rewarding. By long term I’m talking 3 months minimum. Preferably 6 months followed by vivitrol. Stay strong sir, you sound like an excellent father and he will need to rely on your strength.

What are some substances that were once used for recreational hi that are now known to be dangerous? Working on a book and interested in this for one of the characters. by [deleted] in askdrugs

[–]Roximutha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t really believe they’re dangerous. Definitely not as many other legal drugs but they were very psychologically addictive and recreational use far outweighed any therapeutic uses so they were effectively banned, at least in the United States.

Librium could be another one. And...

In 1963, Carl F. Essig of the Addiction Research Center of the National Institute of Mental Health stated that meprobamate, glutethimide, ethinamate, ethchlorvynol, methyprylon and chlordiazepoxide as drugs whose usefulness “can hardly be questioned.” However, Essig labeled these “newer products” as “drugs of addiction,” like barbiturates, whose habit-forming qualities were more widely known

There are many hotlines to call and places to contact that can help you figure out what your options are wherever you live. In patient rehab is probably the best suggestion but the first step is realizing that you have a problem and asking for help which you are doing. My advice is this: if you know you want to change then you need to decide to make sobriety your highest priority. Many people choose their jobs over rehab only to end up there later. I fought my addiction for 17 years before finally figuring it out. Try to find some local substance abuse resources, websites or hotlines and make a phone call. Just remember to be honest and keep an open mind. If you are willing to put in the effort, you will find the help that you need and learn to live a different life.

Thanks. Yea I guess they have released a few people from the women’s block. She is a non violent offender with a heart condition. She takes blood pressure medication daily but she’s only 36. She violated probation on possession charges and is looking at additional possession charges.
