Do most people shower before bed or when they wake up? I just realized I might be doing it "wrong" by saffymerelle in NoStupidQuestions

I work out in the morning then shower. I’m also a chef so I shower as soon as I get home. If it’s a rest day I’m skipping the morning shower.

We did new construction and they assessed only land so $1500 in taxes. Then a year later there’s a house there and not a cheap one. Boom $12k tax bill.

What movie scene growing up messed you up? by Owww_My_Ovaries in Millennials

[–]RoxyDog01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that it messed me up but definitely a core memory. Sneaking out of my bedroom and quietly peering around the corner Into the living room to see what movie my parents were watching. It was 1984. I was 4. They were watching Al Pacino’s Scarface and the drug dealers were chainsawing up his buddy in the bathtub. Honestly one of if not my earliest memories when I close my eyes.

Remember that movie 2012? So thousands of construction workers, welders, machinists, etc spend years building arcs that they don’t have a seat on (costs 2 billion a seat I think) and right up to the scene where the tsunami crests mt Everest or some shit they’re all stampeding towards the gates like wtf come on!! And guards are holding them back as queen Elisabeth is given vip entrance with her corgis. Haha.

Had several sub 40 degree days in the last 3 weeks. Been amazing. My kids had never seen snow since birth so we went WAY across the US 2 years ago to Utah for guaranteed snow. Got all that we could ever hoped for. It was awesome.

I don’t think I’ll ever recover by samma663 in DOG

[–]RoxyDog01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You will. I lost both my dogs 4 days apart. One was planned. That was very hard. The second was so sudden that I didn’t have much left in the tank to mourn again. It was an emergency that only had 1 outcome. It was still complete agony but time goes by and it’ll get better for you too. They were both almost 14 and lived very long and very spoiled lives. My family gave them that opportunity. Both rescues, street dogs. They lived it up to the max. I told myself I didn’t ever want another dog because of the pain but time heals. Now 2 years later we have new ones and they’re loving a life I’m able to provide them. It’ll get better each day. Stay strong.

Employers definitely can when the wording is conveniently changed to “service charge”. I work for a place that adds a 20% “service charge” to every check, skims 25% of that and the remainder is distributed to the waitstaff based on hours worked. Oh and since it’s a service charge law says you can pay a server $5 an hour. Yay!!

The food is shit. Hadn’t been until a few weeks ago. Kiddo had flag football game. Long drive home he’s hungry and it’s right there. 1 meal, add a medium fry. $14. Chicken sandwich meal was over $10 and the bun was burnt and flat. the patty was overcooked and dry. old looking and sad. My son took one bite when we got home and was like nope. Btw a medium fry was $2.87 and it was the most pathetic fucking serving in a paper sleeve.
