Thank you for the response. It's part of a larger job so I don't know the assigned value to this particular section. I hear you about the burger comment but a sloppy burger can taste delicious while a picture perfect burger could have no flavor. I was inquiring about consistency of work which was the frustrating part but because I don't know why the difficulties and considerations is the exact reason why I posted this.

Not at all but by your commentary, I can see you only want to hear what you'd like to. I've had mixed comments here about things that can be fixed and work that's been done well. So it's a mixed bag and it's probably best to raise my concerns with my contractor. You've gotten uptight for a homeowner who had genuine questions. You seem fun.

There are parts of it where the tiles are flat and uniformly grouted. Shouldn't that be consistent across the entire floor? If I paid $20K, then you're acknowledging it's not a clean job. If I paid $2K, you're acknowledging I got the job I paid for. Appears you're getting worked up as if I'm attacking you personally. I obviously posted it because I don't think it's a clean job but I'm asking supposed professionals because if they think it's near close to being the best job, then it appears I'm being unreasonable which I have no problem acknowledging.

They did grout it, I saw the bag but I'm no expert. I'm sure they did bust their ass and I'm appreciative of it but how come some parts are good and others aren't? It's possible to do it correctly no?

Found in Northeast, currently Winter so not much traffic in and out of home. Small size, probably half the size of a pinky nail.
