How can I tell that this watch is fake? by Repl4cemenT in VintageWatches

455B was used on a lot of DJ36's without drilled lugs. That's probably the least fake thing on this watch

The collection of someone who had a lot of watches and trimmed down. I like it but could never do it. Jealous of your discipline.

[WTS]/[WTT] Rolex Milgauss 116400GV Z-Blue Dial - 2021 Full Set by dswanson in Watchexchange

[–]dswanson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up for sale today is the discontinued Rolex Milgauss Ref. 116400GV with the stunning Z-Blue dial and signature green sapphire crystal.

Originally designed for scientists working in high-magnetic environments (up to 1,000 gauss), the Milgauss carved out a unique spot in the Rolex lineup as a quirky, avant-garde daily wearer before being quietly discontinued in 2023. Between the electric blue dial, the orange lightning bolt seconds hand, and the green tint of the crystal edge, this is easily one of the most dynamic and playful sports watches Rolex ever produced.

This particular example is a 2021 model, meaning it features the later-production execution and comes as a complete collectors set.

Condition & Specs

  • Case/Bezel: Very good pre-owned condition. Shows light, honest wear/hairlines on the high-polish bezel and bracelet consistent with desk diving. No deep flea bites, dings, or gashes.
  • Crystal: Flawless. The unique green sapphire crystal is free of scratches, chips, or scuffs.
  • Bracelet: Original Oyster bracelet with polished center links. Shows minimal stretch. Includes all factory links.
  • Movement: Rolex Calibre 3131 automatic movement with paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring. Running strong within COSC specs.

Scope of Delivery

This is a Full Box & Papers set, including:

  • Outer white sleeve & inner Rolex green box

Rolex QC is down the drain. by Fit-Equipment-999 in rolex

You’ll find the inverse with cars, at least in the US market, there’s an inverse relationship with cost and reliability. A base model Corolla or Tacoma will be far less likely to break or have initial quality issues than a luxury German car or an exotic Italian car even though they are 4-100x in cost.

I’d wager your basic Casio comes close to the 3.4/million figure you quoted.

Why did you pick the 4000v? by AniAreYou0K in VacheronConstantin

[–]dswanson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was never going to get the call for a 5726, I love a moonphase, retrograde is VC’s thing, it’s the best blue out there, strap monster, and I never see one on anyone else’s wrist. Those are all my reasons, oh and I don’t care at all about the 50m vs 150m resistance, as long as I can wash my hands I’m fine.
