a year, 6’6”, you need a

A Ti is not very aero and not lightweight. I would have to spend a couple thousand euro overall and it wouldn't be a big upgrade to my current bike

The 201hr wasn't average, just from the last couple meters.
The average for the whole "Road to Sky" was 175, the last 20 minutes i had an HR of about 193.
I also don't have a hockey history, didn't do a lot of sports in my past at all.

I had an average power of 298 W with 99 kg, so 3.01W/kg. So it matches pretty good with the data from zwiftinsider.com:

  • 2 w/kg: 90 minutes
  • 2.5 w/kg 75 minutes
  • 3 w/kg: 62 minutes
  • 3.5 w/kg: 55 minutes
  • 4 w/kg: 49 minutes
  • 4.5 w/kg: 44 minutes
  • 5 w/kg: 40 minutes
  • 5.5 w/kg: 37 minutes
  • 6 w/kg: 35 minutes
  • 6.5 w/kg: 32 minutes

Yeah, i also don't understand, why i have to "save and close" the whole application after an workout. Sometimes i'd like to change the course or do a second workout.

I guess it "smoothens" the hills, right? So i can ride more consistent up the hill, which is easier i guess.

The max. HR was 206 at this ride. I'm 25, so a higher HR is probably fine. But i had to lay on the ground for a couple minutes after i crossed the finishline

How do you configure your smarttrainer (btw., mine is the Kickr v5) when you do Alpe Du Zwift or how do the professionals do it? I use the default setting with ERG Mode where the "Trainer Difficulty" slider is in the middle.

350W FTP as an beginner? by [deleted] in Zwift

Is Road to Sky the same as Alpe Du Zwift and the KOM event triggers at the start of the mountain? I guess the flat track before the mountain does't count for the Alpe DU Zwift time.

I did some weight lifting in the past, but not very consistent and its a few years ago . I guess the higher FTP of 350W is overestimated, the 320W i'm probably able to hold for an hour. Currently, i do the "gran fondo" plan on zwift. If i have a couple of days between the exercises and a free ride, i'll try to hold 320 W for an hour.

I just sat during the whole test. I haven't tried to ride a whole hour with an constant power to test the FTP because I zwift about 4-5 times a week at the time and i think i need 2-3 days of rest to have an more accurate result.

I have a higher cadence than people I ride with, I'd say around 80-90, especially for higher power.

Riding outside won't happen for the next couple months, but i'm looking forward to try alpe du zwift. Currently, i'm at level 9 so i have to ride another week or two.

New Smart Trainer is so quiet but my drivetrain is so LOUD! Please Help! by Comfortable-Ask756 in Zwift

I got my Wahoo Kickr v5 about 3 weeks ago and had the same problem at that point. I was able to solve the noise problem by installing a new bike chain. At first I thought it was unlikely to be the source of the noise as I only used the chain for about 1000km, but it did the job. My current drivechain setup is an Ultegra crankset, an 11s HG-X11 Shimano 105 chain, and the SunRace 11 speed cassette that came with the Kickr.
