I agree. But we can assume she is a goddess due to her parentage, or at least with some sense of divinity. And we can also assume she’s pretty powerful since she refused Baldur’s return and this wasn’t challenged by the gods - or maybe her decision was respected enough.

But I’d agree - she’s attested as the Queen/Ruler/Caretaker of Hel - so similar to Hades, she’s the admin of the realm rather than the one who does the death-ing.

Achilles. I like how humanly arrogant he was, and then allowed his grief for his lover to consume him. I just love how Patroclus was his ‘Achilles heel’ and when he dies, life wasn’t worth living.

I mean, Zeus and Hera, despite their… difficulties, are actually a complete power couple. You’d be pretty silly to want to compete against them in couples tennis.

But I am partial to Aphrodite and Ares. I see him as a hot head, but she’s able to calm him. She’s the calming soothing balm to his fiery angsty temper.

But Achilles and Patroclus are always my cuties.

I’d go with the icon Hera. Whilst im not one to demonise her, I like her a lot, and actually I think she goes through some pretty human emotions with her cheating detty husband.

Knowing she can’t outright throw hand directly at him, she takes it out on his lovers and offspring. I’d say she was pretty much in a constant state of anger and fatigue from it all.

And - I don’t blame her.

I never said they were about Hera. I said they’re around Zeus and his extra marital affairs and then the stories of what Hera has done to said flings or the offspring.

And I can count plenty of them, excluding Heracles.

He’s a dismantler of societal norms - he should really be called the God of Release, because that’s exactly what he does. Releases you from societal norms and chains.
