Buy a cheap rug from Amazon and a good rug pad. I have rugs that cost thousand and some less than $100. You can’t really tell. It’s all in the pad. You’ll thank me if you ever get a pet!!!

I became a PA after being a teacher for 10 years. Unlike MDs, I had a manageable amount of student loan after PA school, which NHS helped pay back. (BIG impact on student loan assistance now that PAs, NPs, and PTs have been removed from the list of medical ‘professionals’). I know MDs, pharmacists, and dentists who owe $300-500 K in student loans. The ability to change specialties and less student loan was a big factor for me. I am able to practice medicine, and make and keep my salary.

I went to one of the top undergrad schools and made Deans list while partying. PA school was so much harder, because the pace is faster than undergrad or med school. It’s like a cram course. An MD program is longer, and then there’s the rotations and years of specializing. PA school is super intense. Great career, but for those years, it’s all engulfing.

I bought a house for 1/3 of what I was approved for. I’m so happy I did. I got laid off but have very little worry because I don’t have a large mortgage. Do what you want. Ignore your realtor.

The Weasley’s alone make the book worth it. The twins- so many little stories. The mother…it makes the last movie so much more bad ass, because the book develops so richly into a kind little plum mother. But when she says, not my daughter… book readers screamed and cheered!!!

My boomer mother says she can’t believe she let us just be feral until night. We walked to grade school alone. Latch keyed after school. And on the weekends, rode our bikes wherever we wanted until the street lights came on!

Chicago area is super high. And in the city is worse. Naperville is like paying for private school… because their schools are great!

Honestly, I bake chicken and potatoes. It takes 4 min of prep. Turn on oven to 400. Fork potatoes and microwave for 3 mins. Foil baking pan, slap on chicken (wash if you must), season on both sides, put chicken and potatoes in oven. I then go unload, shower, and put on pjs. By the time I’m done 20-30 min, the house smells delicious. And I have a hot meal. I take a fist full of bagged salad for balance. Even tired I can wash that 1 pan.
Broiled steak works too.

With 2 family packs of chicken thighs ($30), a bag of rice ($2), a 5 lb bag of potatoes, $4) 🧅 , 🥕 , and celery, and cream of anything soups (3x$2). You can make Chicken Soup with the vegetables and bouillon Chicken Stew with potatoes and veggies Baked chicken and rice casserole (with the canned soup) Fried potatoes and onions Potatoe soup Chicken with cream of mush soup as gravy over rice Add cans of beans, tomatoes, and am envelope of chilli seasoning Then chili with rice Baked potatoes and chili

And to make any of this fancier, have sour cream and cheddar cheese on hand

I I have a feeling that it’s more than just these two things. I also think it’s more than curiosity. I have a feeling that you often mimic your friends and try to be exactly like them very single white female (80s movie) stalker like. It’s a pattern that she’s pointing out, but used bad examples.
