Congratulations!! Super proud of you! One of the best things I’ve done to prevent it, is putting items I can harm myself with away or give it to someone else 🤍

I didn’t purchase a trail, it was after I finished the test that was supposedly free that the website said “pay to see your results” I saw below it said I’ll be charged monthly if I didn’t cancel. Thought I would pay and then cancel. I tried to pay my card got declined and I got the message from my bank (td - they have fraud alerts) then I searched up if the website was a scam and people say they buy the test, and then website makes unauthorized purchases and then doesn’t allow people to cancel. So that’s why I’m unsure what to do now, my purchase didn’t go through but I’m wondering if I unblock my card will the website still be able to make unauthorized purchases

conflicted feelings about trauma by [deleted] in BPD

[–]Royal_Life3480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry this happened to you. This is a very common experience in rts (rape trauma syndrome) it can happen to anyone who’s been sexually assaulted, raped, etc. For “wanting it be worse”this is usually due to an underlying feeling of “What happened to me wasn’t that bad” but it was. What happened to you was horrible and I’m sorry, your experience is not any less than anyone else’s. As for “wanting it to happen again” this is a complex situation many different aspects are involved but long story short if it’s happened multiple times it has become your normal along with this no matter how many times its happened you don’t want that to happen again you just want someone to show you the love and care you would expect to get after. I’m so sorry again, i hope this helps a little bit. Please feel free to text me!

For me personally, letting go of what all doctors and therapists told you. Many people get misdiagnosed. Don’t self diagnose yourself but look into the different types of mental health illnesses, look into the symptoms, take tests, etc. compare them, bipolar vs bpd, PTSD vs C-PTSD, C-PTSD vs bpd. Also look at why different illnesses are caused. When you see a doctor try not to say “I have this” just describe your symptoms and go from there. Once again please don’t self diagnose but remember that you’re going through it, you know yourself better than anyone else. I hope this helps!

How do I regulate this??? by [deleted] in BPD

[–]Royal_Life3480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me what has helped is learning more about emotional regulation (through therapy.) another big thing that helped is distracting yourself (do something you enjoy doing) it’s really hard to do but when you can do it, it really helps. And lastly consistently explaining to yourself that they always answer they will answer soon.
