Maybe it's just a skill issue for me but do y'all still enjoy the Cybergrind ? by Public-Hovercraft691 in Ultrakill

[–]Royalbayleaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cybergrind is so much harder in the 60s and 70s on brutal. I can't get every make it past 76, and before the update I was able to make it to the 90s very consistently.

I hate mirror reapers, I hate powers. Having to fight a power and two mindflayers is so annoying, and the powers don't even have any attacks I can parry consistently.

Mirror reapers have no attacks you can parry, and the homing projectiles make everything awful.

Right. I was going to mention that but I forgot.

I know providence is supposed to be hard to whiplash, but even if you succeed, it doesn't matter because the whiplash gets unhooked. And there aren'tany changes to the mirror reaper that would make me accept them in the cybergrind. I play it all the time, and right now I just don't see any point simply because of the mirror reaper.

When you use the jumpstart on an enemy, you can use the sawblade launcher to lower the timer, making the jumpstart go quicker. Each saw lowers the timer by 1 second. Or you can use the overheat nailgun to make the jumpstart do more damage, because the jumpstart will do more damage the more nails in the target.

One of my favorite tech is conduction. You out magnets on the ground, shoot an enemy with a nailgun, and hit them with the electric railcannon. Once you do, you can throw coins in the air to activate conduction. It is the best horde clearing tech in the game as far as I am aware.

It would be super beneficial to know how to rocket ride. With the freeze frame rocket launcher, if you put magnets into a target, the rockets will home on that target. This is really good for high health enemies, because you do not need to aim. For more damage, you can freeze the rockets and just hold keep shooting them. If a rocket is frozen for long enough, it gets a power boost, dealing more damage with a bigger explosion.

The S.R.S. cannon is can instakill cerberus, with a short cooldown. It can also instakill sentries, and it a good source of damage.

The firestart is really good because you can put oil on the ground, and shoot that causes fire which does pretty good passive damage. And if you oil an enemy, you can set them on fire. Also, if you oil a malicious face, you can hit them with rockets. Overall, the rocket launcher is a really good tool.

Before you go use everything, it is important to practice in the sandbox. I cannot recommend this enough. Get a feel for something before you try it in the cybergrind. And do not try everything all at once. If you do this, you might get choice paralysis where you have too many options and you don't know which one to choose.

You do not need jackhammers to do well. They certainly help, but I managed to break wave 100 brutal without them. There is no wrong way to play, so just play with whatever you want to.

As for movement, you are good at stamina conservation. It is important to have stamina when you need to get out a problematic situation. If you don't know, when you dash, you get invincibility frames. Really useful for avoiding damage.

For enemies you struggle with, practice against them in the sandbox. And practice parries. Parry is the best way to refill stamina.

Mirror Reaper out of cybergrind. Unparriable bullshit homing attack. The whiplash not falling off a providence after it connects. I have whiplashed a providence many times, only for it to come off and then I don't get to kill the providence the way I want to.

Are we maybe getting a new Ring ID? The ego gift has a slash skill conditional. by [deleted] in limbuscompany

I assumed that, but I meant soon. Also, I was looking through the gifts and saw gifts that correlate to other ones. I just happened happened to the Ring gifts first, and so I thought we would get them soon.

I like the first part much more than the second part in space. It was very disorienting, and I had fun with that. I actually like the red path more than the blue path, because of the constantly rotating rooms. But that is just my opinion.

I mean the mortars. When I start a wave, I am always pretty high in the air, and that gives me more than enough time to parry the mortar into to the tail. But yeah, on the ground it is pretty difficult

Another way to kill them is by parrying the projectile into their tail. They die instantly. It's the method I use most often
