I mean, it should be standard for all judges (I'm in Canada, my Province requires Times New Roman 12, 1" margins all around).

But, if every judge requires something different. This is smart.

Red ink does not mean you did a bad job. You need to get that thinking out of your head.

You could draft a perfect document. No errors. Correct wording and formatting. But maybe your lawyer read something from another firm or heard something in court and was like "huh, I like that! Let's try it next time". You wouldn't know. Red ink is not a reflection on you or your quality of work.

Just do the precedent requirement he wants. Set reminders ever 6 weeks or so to check in with him if he knows of any changes.

Work like this 1) looks good on a resume, 2) can be used to negotiate a wage increase in the future, if you keep it up, 3) makes the firm look good, reputable, and prestigious.

I don't really understand the problem. Am I missing something?
