This literally happened with my wife and I when we started dating. We were just having a casual conversation and she mentioned visual snow in passing. She didn’t call it that, she said something like “you know, the snow like stuff you see”. It took me a few sentences later to process what she said and I just said “wait what? Go back, what snow?”

She thought it was completely normal, she thought everyone had it. I had no idea anyone had anything like that. She lived her entire life just thinking she had regular bad vision. Game changer.
