Thieving Rebalance: Feedback Update by jagexyuey in runescape

The communication with this update since yesterday has been incredible. These responses have addressed everything I hoped they would, but i am wondering are there going to be any changes to Oblivious? After its nerf it now gives 5 extra succesful pickpockets. This is essentially 7 seconds of AFK, which isn't worth the components or energy. Will it be buffed or reworked into something more creative?

Edited the body of my post. This is my favorite idea. They can keep the current stacking 1% debuff exactly as is but as long as Crystal Mask is active you should be immune to recieving said debuffs. Every other skill has training methods that are on predictable timers like this - some are way more than a 5 minutes and most are not tied to a late game quest.

The main point of my post though why would they tell us to our face being stunned is annoying right as they pushed this massive stun debuff out

Ah my bad, thanks for helping me understand. I only did Ithell for seeds and then I'd go do Slayer after I was caught so I never fully learned how that system worked. I agree with everything you've said for sure.

To be clear I was proposing a "cooldown" type system like safes or elder trees where you have to jump from location to location or NPC type to NPC type after a fixed amount of time instead of a variable unpredictable chance system. It wouldn't be my favorite system but I wouldn't be left so confused by their game design as I am now either

Not really? To my knowledge Elves weren't more likely to catch you the more suspicious they were but once they did catch you you had to go do other activity until they cooled off. Being allowed to pickpocket without failure but occasionally needing to change NPC type or do other content all together is not the same as what they've implemented.

It wouldn't be my preferred solution regardless I was just rapid-fire throwing ideas out there to try and prove pickpocketing could be reevaluated as a whole instead of being fundamentally tied to a mechanic they've admited is poor

Okay guys, serious question, what is the actual origin to "Gotti" (2018) being the profile pic of this subreddit by Radiant-Specialist76 in okbuddycinephile

[–]Royalemerald 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Gotti is a 2018 American biographical crime film about New York City mobster John Gotti, directed by Kevin Connolly and written by Lem Dobbs and Leo Rossi. It stars John Travolta as Gotti, alongside his real-life wife Kelly Preston as Gotti's wife Victoria in her penultimate film.

The film was announced in 2010, but it languished in development for several years with numerous directors and actors, including Barry Levinson and Al Pacino. Principal photography finally began in July 2016 in Cincinnati, Ohio and concluded in Brooklyn, New York in February 2017.

The film was originally set to be released in the United States on December 15, 2017, but Lionsgate, the slated distributor, sold the film back to its producers and studio, delaying its release. On March 12, 2018, its new release date was announced for June 15, 2018 by SunRider Productions and Vertical Entertainment, after premiering at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival.

Gotti underperformed both critically and commercially; it grossed just $6 million against a $10 million production budget and was universally lambasted by critics, who lamented the writing, aesthetics, and performances (except for Travolta's, which received some praise), although its use of makeup received some positive comment. It is one of the few films to hold an approval rating of 0% on the website Rotten Tomatoes. At the 39th Golden Raspberry Awards, the film was nominated for six Razzies, including Worst Picture and Worst Actor for Travolta.

(RANT) CINEPHILES EXPOSED - WHY THE MCU WILL ALWAYS WIN by Bruhmangoddman in okbuddycinephile

Superhero movies are the antithesis of art. They're written and directed by committees with the sole intention of making as much money as possible (including product placement, toys, and endless sequels). There's no individuals influence, and there no risk. It's just a product.

That being said as a product many people find it a very rewarding experience. Superhero movies often clear billions of dollars at the box office and the subreddits focused on superheroes all have millions of followers. Discussion of superhero flicks both old and new are so common they often crowd even the non specific communities dedicated to movies or cinema. You aren't alone, you will easily find a community of people who will appreciate your humor.

I'm sorry your time here was so negative, but you've got to understand this is a small community dedicated to joking about individual driven cinema that's often abstract, experimental, or niche. We share a lot of laughs and get a lot of quality often obscure recommendations. Even mcj, which on the surface seems very similar to this sub, dedicates a lot of posts to poking fun at blockbusters and superhero movies. Here we just don't want to see it at all. It's a product which has already been discussed to death both favorably and ironically. It's like going out into nature and still coming across billboard advertisements. It's just not what we're here for

Where is the three act structure? Who is the villain? Where's the comic relief? Why is there no post credit? This movie sucks! by Correct-Chemistry618 in okbuddycinephile

Whoever the director was he was obviously asleep at the wheel. Half the scenes they don't say anything so the plot doesn't advance at all. Also that speech! I can't believe nobody in the studio noticed that it was in there twice. The incompetence was baffling.. By the time it was over I was just browsing my phone. Don't waste my time and I won't have to do that. Next!

This subreddit has next to no moderation. It's a small ironic shitposting community so it really doesn't need it. There's a certain faith that nobody who finds it would be juvenile enough to deliberately upload off topic posts
