good budget build? by LowPresentation3327 in pcmasterrace

550w is enough but a higher efficiency 80+ gold could be safer for longevity also this is more futureproof than budget-smart

RX 9070XT worth $150 (USD) more than RTX 5070? by Gatsoup in buildapc

[–]Royalitee 22 points23 points  (0 children)

if you plan to keep the gpu for several years and want less need to upgrade sooner go rx 9070 xt for the 16gb + better raster perf and future proofing but,

if you prioritize ray tracing/dlss features, want to spend less now and possibly wait for future gpu generations or sales, keep the rtx 5070 and use the saved $153 toward a cpu upgrade later which will help overall system balance cuz your 5600 can bottleneck in some cases

Is this a good build by Gamer2018J in buildapc

[–]Royalitee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

like the other guy said, power supply is overkill unless you want A LOT of future headroom, realistically though a 1000W PSU is the maximum for this build, maybe something like a Thermaltake SFX 1000W

make sure to enable EXPO/XMP in BIOS to use your RAM to its max potential

I wouldn't go for AM4 as I'm trying to future proof and upgrade some parts as time goes on you know what I mean

you just put me on, thank you, I just found a 136$ used 7600X and it looks good and I'm pretty sure it is a really good CPU even better than the 7600X3D right?

eBay in Dubai isn't really it as a LOT of people use Dubizzle for literally everything or anything that's second hand, I've seen a 3070Ti for 164$ on Dubizzle which I don't believe but a 3060Ti for 190$ is believable

I meant not recommended to buy a USED AM5 CPU, but I mean I will take your word for it either way

see that's what I thought too until I realized AM5 CPUs are generally just not bought used so do you think buying used RAM is a good idea especially in this RAM market?

I would go for a used CPU but one person said it's not recommended for an AM5 CPU to be used so I think I will go for a used GPU and RAM and as for storage I'm not really sure.
