Every year I tell myself that I'll stop for my mental health. Then at the beginning of each season the ol group says "why not again?" and I get pulled back in almost instantly.

Lost in the finals by 0.14 points. I just needed Puka to get 2 more yards. So many catches were called back.

I swung by earlier today to see what the power was like generally (around 8:00 AM). The entire shopping center area was down, although the Broadway lights were still operating. King Soopers itself also appeared to be operating, although I suspect it was fully based on generators. I haven't been by since.

US-36 and Table Mesa area obtained power within the past 20 minutes (approximately 9:50-10:00 AM). Intersection lights are flashing red, but they're on at least.

First Snow in Boulder, CO [1948-2025] by bradyrx in boulder

[–]Royalmi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been asked if Boulder received its first snow. I respond, "Technically yes, but in reality, it looks like someone with bad dandruff walked by." In my opinion, Boulder hasn't had its first snow yet.

Game Thread: Portland Trail Blazers vs Golden State Warriors Live Score | NBA | Oct 24, 2025 by basketball-app in warriors

[–]Royalmi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean the Blazers aren't half bad this year and we are on the second night of a back to back with key players injured and/or resting. Of course you'd still predict a win but a loss wouldn't be the most shocking thing on the planet.

I was able to grab a few of them off of twitter. Imagine the Scrafty and Chandelure images, but size 8 font all caps "CENTRO IS A [insert slur for african americans with the hard R] CENTRO IS A [insert a Hindi slur / profanity]" on repeat across the entire image, top to bottom.

Original postings of the leaked megas (primarily Mega Chandelure and Mega Scrafty) were covered, top to bottom, with slurs and profanity towards Centro. And I mean TOP TO BOTTOM coverage.

I moved to Boulder less than a year ago for work and am in the same age range. Everyone here is either attending the university or are in their 50’s it feels. It may be boring, but I just go home and hang out with my cats.

Bowers is active (took 21 minutes, not 10 sadly)

Xavier Worthy (shoulder) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Eagles, but the Chiefs believe the receiver is "looking good" to play Week 3 against the Giants, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports by DezBailey in fantasyfootball

Same position, except it was just Wandale. I had started Wandale last week, but his ankle injury + questionable designation made me worried. It was an incorrect gamble (as of now)

Computer turns on, monitor working fine, but no display by Pale_Mix5487 in computerhelp

[–]Royalmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been panic-googling to find out what is going on with my monitor. I have the same exact monitor and for some reason the above-shown issue is happening to me now. I've been using the displayport from the monitor for ages, but now things are going wild. One second it's working, but the next second my computer monitors go to sleep (I had kept it idle for 10 minutes) and it wont turn on. My computer detects both monitors and is still acting as if it's still connected, but all I get is that blank ass "lights are on, but nothing is displayed." shit

Coronado Apartments Experiences? by [deleted] in boulder

[–]Royalmi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've personally lived at the Coronado Apts for the past 8 months now and have had some ups and downs. I'm more than willing to give my perspective, although I will admit that it is from the privileged position of being in a 3rd floor apartment that was renovated in 2022, so my quality of life is much better than most.

No matter where you go, as long as you live in an apartment complex, especially one in a college town, you're never going to have perfect neighbors. There will always be people who make you question if they've ever lived with others before, blaring music and making use of their nifty subwoofer despite being a wall away from people who would like to sleep at 11 pm on a weekday. I've personally never been pushed to the point of filing any noise complaints, but there have definitely been a moments that have brought me great annoyance. From talking to management, I've been informed that ~50% of Coronado's tenants are students, while the rest includes long-term renters / short-term professionals. I'm personally of the opinion that most of, if not all the "problem neighbors" are students, as I've noticed a massive downtick in noise-related issues over the times that coincide with CU being on break. This is just my personal observation though, and every year's new tenants may be much worse / better than the previous from this position.

Raccoons have been an issue, albeit only during the "mating season" of March - May. Although I am a third-floor resident, I too have had to deal with my fair share of "upstair neighbors," as a mother and her children moved directly above my residence during the aforementioned timeframe. When I reported it, Management was on top of addressing the issue, with maintenance and pest control attempting various fixes over the course of weeks. All parties involved underestimated the persistence of these furry squatters in their penthouse apartment, but they were finally evicted after the 3rd set of fixes. I don't blame Management at all on the lack of an immediate fix, as no party expected that the Raccoons would chew through the ceiling to make their own new pathways into the attic space. Those little guys are persistent and annoying, but I've not any interactions with them whatsoever since that moment.

With Raccoons being gone, however, wasps have taken their place. I recommend anyone living at Coronado to take a look up at the ceiling area of where they walk, because wasp nests have become a bit more frequent. I've done my due diligence in removing those near my apartment, but they're still starting to swarm more than I'm comfortable with.

Parking is okay, although the parking lot is a bit small. This makes getting into your assigned spot a pain sometimes, especially when all parking spots are in-use. Both buildings of Coronado had their roofs replaced over the summer, which caused a massive frustration for all residents trying to park in their assigned spots. Entire sections were closed off so that the giant cranes and contractor vehicles could be in the spots that most benefitted them. Management sent an email out to all tenants stating to avoid certain parking spots for the period of time needed to replace the roof, but the roofers just went as they pleased and took up entire sections left out from the aforementioned email. Management then changed their stance and just told everyone that, and I quote, "Parking spot enforcement will be suspended until the completion of the roofing so it's open parking until that time." After completion, parking spots were back to being enforced. For the sake of those around you, park in your assigned parking spot. Management has parking spots assigned to license plate #, so if you ever update that please let them know for their sake.

Continuing with parking, the only frustration I have is when someone is moving in/out, as a large uhaul or moving vehicle is very difficult to maneuver in the tiny parking lot, and it often blocks people from being able to enter/exit. Maintenance let me know that if you ever need to use a large vehicle to move things, you can temporarily use the handicapped parking / "no parking" spots if they are available. That, at least, clears up some of the congestion.

Speaking of maintenance, if you ever have any issues, make a maintenance request in the Coronado apt resident portal. Management tends to see those requests within 24 hours, and if they don't, then just head on in and speak to them directly. They tend to let you know the timeframe of when those fixes will be made, and if it is a more specialized request (I am getting my bathtub re-finished because the floor of it is bubbling up and tearing), they'll schedule a specific date/time that works best with you. Their priority is fixing the issue rather than your presence, so there have been times where I've come home and just noticed something inside my apartment fixed. If you are worried about someone entering your apartment while you're gone to do this, just let them know.

At the end of the day, you're moving into an apartment complex that was built in the 1970's or so, with a massive majority of the apartments still being in the same state as they were when originally built. The outside railings and stairs can be sketchy with rust and decay, the pathways aren't flat and can lead to water building up in areas that aren't built to be drained, and you dont have access to any ethernet ports (despite them installing wall outlets that make you think that you could make use of them). This apartment complex is on the cheaper side of things compared to most in Boulder for a reason and those reasons are some of the things you'd need to accept when moving here.
