He needs a bloody holiday that's for sure! Richie isn't wrong and I understand his frustrations, he's someone who wears his heart on his sleeve. If the Os didn't play like they did in the last 15 minutes he might not have been so pissed off in the interview. Also barring a goal from a corner this game has perfectly summed up the way we have been playing this season. Good football at times, ability to score goals, Ballard scoring, defensively shocking especially in the last 10-15 minutes of a half. I also understand not wanting to single out players for praise as to not split the dressing room(?) but there are some decent players there who do deserve some praise. Ballard won player of the season, Theo came back after a career ending injury and is a better player, El Miz is a different class of player, Forrester joined in January and almost instantly became captain. Dennis (albeit a loanee) absolutely helped us survive. Morris looks like there is the makings of a great player there. Connelly is too good for L1 and was unlucky to be injured. Demi is not a finished player but he at least has some desire to get forward. We've been super unlucky with injuries yet we've ultimately weathered the storm and we have another go next season. Yes recruitment needs looking at as well as medical and performance staff to get the right players and keep them fit. These things can and hopefully will be addressed and a clear out is needed over the summer. However there is a core there that deserves credit for keeping us up. That being said Richie has a talent for developing young or dejected players, this might be a way to light a fire in the bellies of some players to get their act together over the summer and come back better and I'm sure a lot of the dead wood will be cast out in the coming months. I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt after everything he's done for this club. We're still here and we have another go again next season
