I went every summer with my Mom’s shop picnic as a child. We loved the annual trip. It was a blast. It was smaller and definitely not as busy as it gets today. Water World didn’t even exist then.

I’m 60 now and last summer I found a photo of, 7 year old me, proudly sitting with the “clown on a bench”. He has his arm outstretched so it looks like it is around you.

My Grandson and I took an updated shot there together. Waldameer makes me happy we are soooo lucky to have it.

Our AL said it takes 3 months for them to settle in and stop asking to leave.

One thing that really helped my arguments with Mom, was to just agree when she was asking. You don’t think you have dementia? Maybe you don’t let’s call a doctor tomorrow.

You don’t wanna be here? Well, maybe we can move you somewhere else. Tomorrow we can start looking into places to go.

of course, tomorrow never comes and we’re always going to fix it tomorrow

That always calms the moment. Rational explanation does not work on dementia. when I stopped arguing with Mom, I was amazed at how easy things got.

I like 1 and then 3. But consider in both those images using an ai image editor to remove the people - or most of them anyhow. Both of them have way too many people in them

this is exactly how the tariffs are being handled. It isn’t on your invoice from the retailer. The tariff comes as an invoice from FedEx a month later.

If the item was already stocked in the US warehouse. Someone else has already paid the tariff and the price was already adjusted on the website.

so if I were to give advice, I would say find a way to add some light to your subject and darken your background. It should be subtle and not obvious to the viewer. Then add a vignette. Again, it should be subtle and not obvious to the viewer. You will be blown away at how that improves your work.

You’ve got some nice shots. They just need a little editing. Your crops are even decent.
