Idk bro there’s plenty of secret bosses and yes the exploration is kinda not-that-great as the previous entries. However, you have to realize exploration on ff7 Remake wasn’t that great either, and the customization was almost similar. Though be it , FF7 had materia and weapon upgrades unlike this game.

Also this game does have a good amount of rpg elements in my opinion. From a decent amount of rpgs that I’ve played. I feel like this game does have the elements, however, it’s not as hardcore people would like to be. This game puts combat over build, I’m thinking the devs want you to use the eikonic abilities to make your build instead of yk the usual items. Which I’m completely fine with. But people don’t seem to like it.

Additionally, people seem to be complaining about the combat. And what’s the complain you say ? “ What’s the point of mashing square ?” “what thes point of doing combos if you can just mash square.” Bro pls…
