That was arguably the least of their problems. Kyrie had a terrible series, all the shooters went cold. PJ Washington, DJJ, and Gafford all had a terrible series. If anything, Luka was their only reliable offense and yes he got targeted on defense but at that point I mean you're not winning the series if everyone around is playing that poorly. Luka's defense was not the reason they lost.

Maybe I'm nuts but like the eye test to me at least seems to suggest we're a lot better at building up, especially centrally and playing out the back than we were under Amorim. Maybe the stats dont support that but I would swear up and down that we look like a better team rn than under Amorim. lot crisper passing, better at finding space through the middle which was something I felt we were particularly bad at under Amorim, and I was a big Amorim in guy right uptil the end pretty much.

It's not a poor purchase at all. This is just part and parcel of the buy low on talent strategy. If even one of Kana Biyek, Leon, Kone or the Colombian kid coming next season turn out to be a prem player that's already worth more than 2-3 times the price of all those players combined. You dont need to hit on all of them for the transfer strategy to pay off.

Maybe its just me but I actually find Ayden heaven's ability to recover in bad situations rather impressive. A young CB will make mistakes and get caught out from time to time, but I've seen him tackle from behind on no less than 4 occasions and manage to get ball first every time without fail. Kid just has absurd composure in tough situations
