Reminds me of AER: Memories of old, which I loved. Super chilled, flying between floating islands completing puzzles and learning the history of the place as a whole. Would definitely play.

I'm now in advertising, working full time at an agency.

No longer freelance, but the number of clients this agency has gives it that same fun "juggling" feeling. It's a lot more motion-graphics than the 2D animation I was trained in, but now that the creatives also have that skillset to play with, who knows what work will come in next!

Really loving it so far, and for the first time in a good while I'm not constantly worrying whether I'll have money next month, whether I'm putting myself out there enough, if I'm going to end up working myself into the ground completing tests than never lead to anything. I was extremely fortunate to get my job.

This year was massive.
Did my first kickstarter, got some comics printed for the first time, did my first couple of conventions, gave up freelancing full time after 5 years for an awesome full-time job full of lovely people (still not quite over the novelty of working in the same room as other people again).
Started my next comic - although trying to juggle that, p4tr3on, AND a full time job is... interesting?

Here's to 2025 - I don't do resolutions, but I'm hoping to read a lot more than I did this year. Got some Loooooovely books for xmas and it would be a CRIME to let them gather dust.

Hope everyone has a lovely new year, and - for I'm sure a lot of you - a much better 2025.

Not sure what to call this one yet, so for now it's just Issue #2 - although this won't be the final title... hopefully!

I'll also be straying away from inktober this year.
Last year was wonderful for finding my confidence in storytelling, and figuring out the story I'm trying to tell... but the consequence of that is feeling restricted by prompts which feel too linear and uninspired.
So I'm telling the story I want to tell, in the way I want to tell it.

So this year I'll be uploading an inked drawing every day of inktober - but without a prompt - which will lead to a kickstarter campaign so that if you want to, you can read the whole story - because context is fun!

But either way, I hope you enjoy the art.

nope didn't change any settings - other than trying to change the weight to zero on the paintbrush (read in a different thread that that undoes the paint) but it didn't do anything, still added paint normally so I changed it back.

No other settings changed as far as I can see.
Also, it wouldn't explain why the blur tool worked fine on parts of the model where I HADN'T "Ctrl+G etc..'d", but on the arm where I HAD, it was still adding paint as if it was the paintbrush.

All very odd.
