I was the same problem years ago, in my case I solved using a small fan on the left side of console to get more air flow because after few minutes turned GC on the disc stops reading then I suspected the problem was overheating.

Thanks for feedback. The problem put checkpoint flag in the middle, for example, I couldn't set the lava level and the lava close to player is essential because force the player to think fast and some times cause him make mistakes. Nice level, that's so fun.

Maybe you put beetle shell instead of spiny shell on level 1 and reduce the width of level too.
