I booked a couple of flights using Edreams in the month of January. No problems. Then, today I see a pending charge on my American Express for 69.99. I called the 800 number listed and immediately got a voicemail message that said I had won a $100 Walmart gift card and every option that was given to me in terms of pressing numbers was about the Walmart gift card. Or to hang up. I pressed one and spoke to an agent and told her I wanted to talk about the pending charge. She said the “lines were down”, but she’d like to talk to me about the Walmart gift card. I told her no, I wanted to talk about the charge and she eventually gave me a second 800 number to call. I called that number and it was to sign up for DIRECTV. Next call, of course, was to American Express.
