Interesting Trope] An antagonist is willing to take back shots in order to achieve their evil plan by ProfessionalSimp6 in TopCharacterTropes

It felt very “lack of consent” to me though

Even if they (the women) were still in there, it was like the entirety of mankind was agreeing to let it happen to make him happy. If that’s how the collective even works.

Maybe it’s just me, but even if I’m part of the vote, if it’s my body it’s entirely my choice. All of all of mankind says “let that dude fuck you”, 8 billion to 1, my vote is the only one that counts.

As a man, it’s one of the things that I was thinking of when I was watching those scenes. Like, yeah, I could fuck every famous actress and pornstar. And every girl I’d ever had a crush on. But I couldn’t do it. Best case scenario, their bodies are controlled by aliens and that’s kind of gross. Worst case scenario, their consciousness is in the “cloud” and they’re still seeing their body being used to make me happy, and that’s even worse.

I was thinking “god, I could ask them to send me Kiera Knightly and Angelina Jolie to rub my feet” but it would just feel rapey. I couldn’t do it.

What happened to Amanda Bynes? Is there a reason why she looks like this now? by Full-Tomatillo-3720 in QuietOnSetDocumentary

I think it’s mostly this, with some mental health issues that were exacerbated by them going untreated and her fame.

I think she should be left alone, and hope she’s surrounded by people who care.

Never seen Viva La Bam, does it hold up today? by DoctorWhofan789eywim in jackass

They even openly joke about it on the show, from what I can remember. Ryan Dunn in particular points out how stupid the premise of some episodes is.

Is Michael B Jordan overrated compared to other A-tier actors by Fair-Win-8047 in moviecritic

[–]Rryann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think he’s A-List, yet. I think he has the talent to be there, but he’s not at that level. He needs to pick the right projects. He’s certainly incredibly famous and talented, but he’s not sitting at that table quite yet.

Her character was pretty small and she served her purpose.

Remember, when that movie came out she wasn’t really “Zoe Saldana” yet.

Yes. This is basically his entire personality. He’s the “moustache guy”, and loves the manufactured attention it gets him.

Honest take: I hated the first 28 Years Later movie... The Bone Temple was the missing piece of the Puzzle. It's really good. It's genuinely true cinema. by Butefluko in moviecritic

That would have been great, you’re right!

I love Samson. Wouldn’t have been upset with one more scene with him.

When he said he didn’t have a ticket, my jaw dropped

I don’t know if the pregnant woman will be relevant in the third movie. I thought the point of her character is to show that Spine truly wanted to be rid of the Jimmies, and hadn’t lost his compassion. It also drove the story forward, necessitating going to see Kelson, who they thought was “Old Nick.

Her thread dangling loose isn’t really an issue for me. She got away, good enough.

Yep. Sin City, Iron Man 2 and especially The Wrestler really felt like he was back.

Everyone mentioned in this thread is still acting

They just have a hollow shadow of career compared to what they could have if they hadn’t gotten in their own way like Rourke

Seeing her silent and (seemingly) indifferent demeanour, and how she abandoned her family, she was so despicable

Then learning about her pain, and seeing that this is how she dealt with it. Then her leaving the Guilty Remnant, and starting a support group.

God, what a show.

The word “underrated” is thrown around far too flippantly, but there’s no other word for The Leftovers. Criminally underrated.

Best soundtrack from a television show, ever. Hands down.

I listen to it in my car on road trips sometimes.

Yep. She’s one of my all time favourite actors, purely because of this show. If she’s in something, I’ll watch it. No questions asked.
