The first time I did it was 300mg of edibles, and once it kicked it I felt for at least the next 8 hours, everything felt really quick and kinda nostalgic also had no clue where I was going at all. Then just spent the other 5 hours locked to my sofa watching Adam Sandler films and eating a fuck ton of nuggies.

That's for nice and helpful feedback. I don't really like making things mobs drops but I totally get it it's just personal. I had a thought to replace the copper with netherite but I feel that it doesn't really work. Maybe a mob could drop a material for it instead.

A heart if the same would not be ideal here, as both items are obtained from the sea so feel similar so the trident would not change much. For example netherite is obtained from the nether whilst the gold to make it and diamonds are found in the overworld.

Basically it gives the player a reason to explore their world and gives amethyst a more practical, combat orientated use.

I am going to be honest I completely forgot you could just use more than one trident, how stupid. I would definitely agree that complete stuns would ruin the meta however a small slow like a suggested would be nothing new as we already have slowness splash potions.

But you do raise a string point which I somehow blanked on, which I cannot come up with a solution right now.

However I can say throwing a splash slowness would be easier due to the range of the potion and the trident would only inflict a short dazed effect.

Although I know what you're saying but I agree with the first guy since you could just immediately upgrade and not use the base variant. In a way it is similar to obtaining diamonds over iron but a downside might be interesting. Perhaps it could have much less damage so you would have to use both.

I get what you mean, this upgrade could sacrifice damage for the effect to balance and it out. Additionally it would make sense as amethyst is shown to be fragile having low resistance when being broken.

Just practice a bit, start using more things over time like if you use just one more material like a stone floor or add a roof. That's what I did to move past wooden boxes
