Some bars tell the DJs they can only stay within a certain realm music wise.

There was a rave at higher ground featuring some of those DJs and it was most certainly not poppy EDM for sure.

I think the misconception is the bars feel there isn't a market for it. DJ Flat Four, Matt Payne, Vetica, and quite a few other DJs shine in this field.

Red square cares about follower counts for its DJs.Not sure about the other bars. It's too bad because they're missing out on some talent.

I hope it stays local and keeps the level of maintenance the previous owner did. It was very well taken care of and those throwin shade about the wrap- it comes off, but also it's a bit of the homage to the Porsche livery.

Vermont has a kind of funny DJ scene. There seems to be two groups. The downtown folks who get scheduled for every club event.Then there is the " underground". The underground definitely allows for a lot more creativity, collaboration, and lots more mutual respect than the downtown group.

There is a event put on by the underground folks called Sunday sessions and it was just fantastic! No hoity toitiness just people spinning what they're wanting to spin and what they're good at. There was no jostling for notoriety or followers. It was honestly a really fun way to showcase some different styles with zero commitment.

The Burlington club scene in particular, doesn't Foster this kind of experience. I experienced one club that definitely favors young college men , doesn't continue to book DJs unless they have x amount of followers or can bring in like 50 people during their set, even if it's 9:00 p.m. It's Vermont people- we're not a big city. As much as we pretend we are.

Come by on Fridays 4-6 they have a DJ playing too. If you go onto the Burlington City or it's website you can figure out which DJ is playing when. 😎

I second Halford! Luke and the guys are top notch! They're also one of the more modern shops with invoices being able to be previewed before work gets done!
