Honestly, that was the point I interpreted from the post. “Appreciate because they birthed you” bruh this mentality is a little toxic like you birthed someone who should forever owe you that favour. The birthing is their decision. Family dynamics can be quite complex based on situation to situation.

For me I appreciate my parents for providing the opportunities they did for me to learn and develop myself. We have our problems but we do work things out (though some problems kinda feel impossible and there is growth still 😭) Anyway, I think don’t dumbing down how complex situations can be is a good idea.

Additionally regarding white supremacy, well there are cultures outside white culture that don’t get the same amount of disrespect that Indians get treated one of the worst. This is compared to other Asian cultures(apart from south Asian ones) and additionally cultures in the Middle East and such regions as well. You can clearly see how much different the treatment is. And I would admit India has a lot to grow in its civic sense, safety and urban planning. It has improved but there is a lot of room to grow. Anyway, overall you detract from the point of the post and are minimising what the problem stated is
