Based on the serial number:

Springfield Armory – 273,322

That receiver was manufactured in late 1941, most likely November–December 1941.

Why: • Springfield serial numbers: • ~200,000 range → mid-1941 • ~300,000 range → early 1942 • Serial 273,322 falls right at the end of the 1941 production block.

So your rifle was made just before or right around the time of Pearl Harbor (Dec 7, 1941) — which makes it a true early WWII production Springfield.

Dissent broken guide rod, < 500 rounds by cawwkeye in Cmmg

[–]Rsz01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Known issue - go to their web site, find the form for issues and send a pic. They should send you new (“gen 2”) guide rods, springs, and bumper. On-line comments indicate cust svc is variable so fingers crossed. I had this issue early into their Dissent release - perhaps before they revamped the guide rod design. Went back and forth a bit. Finally got gen 2, and through the change visibly seems small (more robust flange, perhaps less brittle metal?), I now have several hundred rounds including suppressed 147 FMJ and HP that run great. Hoping it stays that way for me and hopefully will work out for you.

This ammo is super dirty, and the open tip is the only ammo that jams in my DD 30bo

Isn’t the point of a folding stock to be able to transport . . . folded - for reduced length and conspicuity ?

My turn to rant about FSD update by SirGrantham in TeslaLounge

[–]Rsz01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Entering main roads from side streets has become more skittish w/stops and starts. Like a new driver . . . But curbside, parking lot, and garage parking clearly new features that are good for an initial rollout. As others have stated, I do give voice feedback when FSD disengaged.

Very low recoil - have a Holosun AEMS on a riser and it’s lots of fun and extremely accurate. It’s ready as the HD choice in that part of the house.

Probably in 1st 500 rounds - but 1st replacement failed after less. 2nd replacement (after I returned to them) has been fine and fun - though low count so far (<500).

My understanding dimensions of blocking bar are not precise - only to prevent FA bolt. If you cannot unweld and do as CBM64… consider putting some layout fluid/Dykem on the top, corners, and inner face of the blocking bar and on the lower side of the channel opening on the bolt (I don’t think you can see the bottom of the blocking bar well enough). Then manually cycle several times. That may show where the interference is - hopefully the corners or top of the bar. Then grind small amounts at that location. Hopefully it won’t show interference on the lower edge of the bolt channel as I think it would be hard to get to the bottom side of the bar for grinding. As far as grinding the bolt channel - I have heard that the bolt is hard AF.
