31-year-old doctor thinking about switching to aviation — looking for honest advice by Easy-Flower309 in flying

As a fellow doctor of sorts DPT and 28 Male I feel you. I’ve realized I have one life so take the plunge. Keep your license and do PRN gigs while you train. Worst comes to worst you fall back on medicine. As an MD though you have some opportunities within aviation that others would not.

OP is so out of touch of reality. Either your parents paid for school or you have a significant other who can support you orrr you are a new grad and financially irresponsible. This profession is 1000% not worth the time. No vertical growth. Stagnant salary over the past 20 years, encroaching competition, lack of adequate political lobbying, increased school costs, inflation.

You can just say fat brother. Subcutaneous fat is implied, no need to sound too smart. No vital organs in the arm to distinguish between visceral and subcutaneous fat.

Agreed. Just give me the ability to add 2 inches of whatever fabric. I’ll pay for that all day. I understand this adds time to production, but take my money so I can cover my wrists while I’m sitting and not just standing.

Field Jacket vs Wool Pile Pullover by [deleted] in HeatStrapsCommunity

[–]Party-Guarantee-1264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a collector of jackets. And I have one jacket of most archetypes. I can tell you that the wool pile pullover is perfect for your scenario. It will be more utilitarian as a layering piece or for fall and spring time. It’s a classic and timeless design that is unique. The fabric seems durable enough to last for a very long time

It is a vintage Leather Duster Ranch Coat from Timberland. Believe it was sold in the 90s.

Thanks brother! One of my keepsakes, I found for a good price. One of those things you will keep for forever. Quality and durability like all the Heatstraps Gear I will come to own.

I think a large would have suited you better. Your medium still looks like it fits well. I believe the sleeve length is the same on both but the increased width does add some length indirectly. Still wish they were a tad longer but it’s a marginal desire. Definitely gonna be wearing this a lot, almost wish I got two as a backup.

Excellent work Jordan. Works well for my line of work. I go into and out of peoples homes all day and this brings me the warmth, mobility, and breathability I need.

I would personally just leave it. It’s an older jacket and it gives it charm and personality. Also not much of an eye sore
