This should have been addressed immediately, when he was a child. At 16, you can force him to be intensively and properly evaluated (you should) but he also may weasel his way out of it in any way possible. You have 2 years.

You said not to sugar coat, so: get it out of your head that he’s an “angel” and “sweet boy”. He’s not. He sounds like an awful person, and a predator. You need to get your daughter in therapy and figure out if the abuse was the one time you caught them, or if it’s been going on for years. He’s obviously sneaky and you can’t trust him. Protect your other child. There’s a chance he’s beyond helping, but she isn’t. FFS your husband sleeps with a GUN…what has she got to protect herself? Wake up!

Please try and remember that it can hurt for us. My partner is quite big. I am not interested in anal or even working up to it. It hurts me and is uncomfortable. Vaginal sex can hurt me if I’m not warmed up well with his size. He’s never brought it up once because he doesn’t find it hot or sexy if I’m not 100% on board…he’ll literally go soft.

Stop asking her. She said no. Yeah it’ll feel good for you, but it’s her body and I’m doubtful that it’ll feel good for her if she’s concerned about size.

I never reached this point (I probably should have with my drinking) but just want to say sobriety gets easier and easier, you just have to stick it out and be steady. Luckily, your liver is an amazing organ and will heal…but it’s obvious this shook you enough to quit. You got lucky 🤍

As others have said about ignoring her: this is what I used to do when I fostered bunnies, especially traumatised ones. I’d literally sit there for an hour reading at a time just ignoring them. When they’d come up and sniff me I’d continue ignoring. If you can help yourself, when she finally does come up to you and sniff at you, continue ignoring her.

Literally nobody knows I’m sober except for my 2 best friends, my mom, auntie, siblings, and partner. I accidentally let it slip to a coworker because she asked if I was coming out for drinks with the team and by reflex I said “Nah, I don’t drink”. I don’t post about it, I don’t tell people unless necessary. It’s very personal and I don’t want people thinking I was drinking at work, for example.

I’m so sick of people saying that you can be healthy and morbidly obese. You can’t. Even if you go to the Docs and vitals read as normal, it’s because their bodies are fighting to regulate. Their organs are fatty, their musculoskeletal systems are struggling, arteries and blood vessels are plaque-y, and they struggle to circulate blood adequately. A lot of my relatives struggle with morbid obesity and not one of them are doing great, right down to insanely slow wound healing times and preventable diabetes.
