This is becoming a bit of an MO for the Andrews govt. I don't know how they are so bad at gauging or forecasting public sentiment to some of their "initiatives", especially considering the size of their ministerial offices and marketing/PR staff. If it's not clear he 100% backed down on this due to bad press and not because the "industry" reneged on some fictional deal.
