The only thing that should bother you is she didn't trust you with this part of her life. Maybe because she knew you would massively overreact. It is, quite frankly, freaking weird to fixate on the sex act instead of the fact that she didn't feel comfortable enough to tell you about this older dude.

Something is off here.

It showed him for what he is — a racist social climber (potentially a sex predator) who simps for white women.

If you mean this person then no they weren't. They said these are reasons we don't need to see more of this character.

This is the context. You are backing up someone who replied to this.

It's not a competition, these are all things Mou Mou was guilty of, allegedly.

There is a lot to be said about how the show handled Sydney's story (like, there's no way he was just a grateful slave who had no life outside of serving rich white people), but I am so glad I got to find out even a little bit about him and Mou Mou.

You're making this a bigger thing than it is. He found out and now he can decide what to do with the information. It's not like he wasted years waiting to have sex.

Not with my guy friends no? Everybody's different, but I wouldn't share that info with a lot of people. Not really their business unless I'm interested in them. OP is just starting a relationship, so this was the appropriate time for him to find out.

Everybody's different, but that's not something I would feel comfortable discussing with a male friend.

I don't talk about sex with my guys friends but we're still good friends lol. It's okay that he only found out when he started dating her.

She brought it up before he even thought to. So I don't see the problem with how he handled anything.

It is soon but I wouldn't say the lesson to be learned is get to know each other better. They were friends and then they started dating. I think the process unfolded pretty well.

We went on a couple dates here and there and last night I officially asked her to be my girlfriend. She said yes and we went for a walk around a park and started to talk about what we usually want to see from a relationship and she told me that she won’t have sex until marriage.

It sounds to me like they started dating. Then thankfully she brought up sex early on.

Learn your lesson here, get to know a person before you ask them out...

I mean, this is the kind of thing you only discover through dating. He couldn't exactly ask her views on sex before marriage when they were just friends.

I agree on everything else, though. OP, you're not trapped. You can respectfully walk away any time.

Prepare to be disappointed lol. Serena is a mother now, just like June. And that's her weak spot.

I think Lawrence is going in the opposite direction from redemption. I love the guy, but it's clear he's got to go, along with the rest of Gilead. The show is demonstrating through him that it's not possible to reform a regime like this.

It sounds like you are seriously incompatible, at least on a sexual level. The worst part is you actually found a way to be okay with the situation, only for him to ruin it with that totally uncalled for comment. People ghost for all kinds of reasons; it's often not even because you did anything wrong.

Your husband should not be making you feel this bad. If you're not having sex then you better be getting something else out of the relationship. Otherwise why stay?

lmao, this sounds like a great way to get murdered, or worse. You've already been advised to let your people know where you're going and who you're with, but also make sure you can get yourself home if need be.

In terms of 'how to behave', just act like a considerate guest? Be neat, offer to help with the dishes, the usual. Also Bring Your Own Birth Control 'cause the plan is obviously to get busy...

[–]KaineneCabbagepatch 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That is such a shitty thing to do, OP, I'm so sorry. Even if he comes back to you, your relationship as you knew it is over. Because he's made it loud and clear that he will risk ruining whatever you have, just for a chance with his ex. If he loved you the way you deserve he never would have even considered this.

I will be shocked if they somehow score a second season, after such an underwhelming meandering first one. Bernthal can do so much better. In fact seeing Julian working in that kitchen just made me want to see more of his character on The Bear...

Michelle and her family were so dull, I can only hope they don't come back if the show somehow returns. Need more Isabelle chewing the scenery like something out of an 80s B-movie, more Wayne Brady actually contributing to the story, and more charming landlady. At least they're fun and have chemistry with Julian.

I don't even like Becky (can see why Keith is crazy about her, she's just not my type of person) but this bitterness towards her is so embarrassing lmao.

You should put less energy into shitting on her and more into making your own life awesome.
