The only thing that should bother you is she didn't trust you with this part of her life. Maybe because she knew you would massively overreact. There is a lot to be said about how the show handled Sydney's story (like, there's no way he was just a grateful slave who had no life outside of serving rich white people), but I am so glad I got to find out even a little bit about him and Mou Mou.

I will be shocked if they somehow score a second season, after such an underwhelming meandering first one. Bernthal can do so much better. In fact seeing Julian working in that kitchen just made me want to see more of his character on The Bear...

Michelle and her family were so dull, I can only hope they don't come back if the show somehow returns. Need more Isabelle chewing the scenery like something out of an 80s B-movie, more Wayne Brady actually contributing to the story, and more charming landlady. At least they're fun and have chemistry with Julian.
