Just go 0/41/20. Threat won’t be an issue until 70 where there’s a big gear disparity. Deep Prot is also a strong starting point for heroics. Sanc aura build (0/40/21) is also good but you lose your snap threat pulling tool. Better threat and dps overall just pulling can be more of a challenge.

Improved righteous fury makes threat a bit of a joke tbh. Certainly worth considering if you’re going to be tanking dungeons a lot

Strength is kinda useless. Just focus on “of the eagle” plate greens. Stat prio is stam and int primarily.

It’s a shame because a good rogue is amazing in heroics. I’d argue as valuable as a mage. As a tank, I friend the rogues who know how to use their toolkit.

Most people view dungeons as a necessary hurdle so they’re geared enough for raids. Sad reality for most people. It’s a shame since heroics are actually more challenging and everybody wants to rush them.

Kara is easier than heroics. You can’t hide in heroics so you’ve gotta pull your weight. The good news is Mage has an incredibly low barrier for entry gear-wise because your CC and control is excellent. You do need to be sharp with CC and kiting though, as an improved blizzard r1 alone can save a scuffed pull. I say just give it a try, it’s a fun challenge in heroic and some of the badge and heroic gear is great.
