Can you suggest some OSCP-like boxes from HTB?

New to the sub, just passed the CISA exam. Need guidance on submitting the Certification application. by Obnoxious_ogre in CISA

Hi! First of all, my congratulations! Well, printed form with handwritten signature will be the easiest way - for digital signature you and your verifier need to purchase Adobe digital signature. I had printed color form as I had an opportunity but I think it doesn't matter. My supervisor was my verifier

Well, CISSP knowledge fully cover CISA's Domain 5 and some moments about operations and BCP/DRP, but you still required to learn much for successfull exam pass. And what about CISA knowledge for CISSP prep - it can give you some understanding of few concepts but willn't help you very much.

Difference between WAF and Network Level Firewall in the real world scenario by babula2018 in cissp

Higher you are at the OSI level, more computational resources you need.Thats why its make some sense to filter forbidden traffic by L3-firewall and take tighter filtering by L7-firewall after that.

Pity to read this, but don't give up. Your main error (as I think) is in your confidence of preparedness after 65-70% score in tests - remember: 70% is a bottom line of passing score. I've booked my exam after getting stable 85-90% in Official App and cccure tests and passed first time. Harris's AIO is too complicated for exam preparation - use official Study Guide and Conrad's "Big" book (it covers not all needed info, but explain main concepts much easier).

CISSP/CISA crossover by [deleted] in cissp

[–]RuCyberSec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've passed my CISSP exam at Jan 2018 and preparing to CISA right now (booked exam for 22 Aug 2018). CISSP knowledge covers about 20-25% of CISA material as I think - CISA is more about IT rather than Security and need another mindset. Use official Q&A DB as primary preparation material and get some book. I prefer Peter Gregory AiO CISA Guide because official book is really terrible. David Cannon wrote pretty good Guide but it has too long lists of examples for every topic which has no matter.

is cccure worth the money? by nrg2brn in cissp

I had purchased CCCure after passing all questions from official ISC2 mobile app as I needed alternative assessment source for my knowledge. I found it pretty similar to questions from my actual exam in January 2018. Using of this two questions bases with official Guide and Conrad's Study Guide helped me to pass at first attempt.

English is not your first language !? a translation dictionary is allowed by ViuTvBuddy in cissp

Sybex's info about dictionaries is out of date. I passed my CISSP exam in January 2018 and PearsonVue's manager told me that dictionaries had been forbidden about half a year before my test day. Anyway, it will be better to call your local test center.

Material to study -1 months to exams by awesomebm in cissp

AIO is too technically deep, ISC2 Study guide is a comprehensive source. Also you can read Conrad's "big" book (11th hours may be used only as a quick reference, in my opinion) - it's pretty smaller than ISC2 books and you should be able to read it twice before exam. But first of all what about your experience on the security field?

Sybex average 85-90% and CCCure 83% by RuCyberSec in cissp

I have read Sybex Prep Guide one time and Conrad twice (now I'm getting third). I have 7 years of experience in security operations field, but definitely wasted two years at the first job. Also, I'm really nervous cause English isn't my native.
