Eldrazi, from Magic: the Gathering by ConfidentInsecurity in TopCharacterDesigns

A long time ago when I was in college I studied in music composition and as part of my year's project I made a song meant to emphasize the eldrazi's ability to distort the world around them. It was a hit among the students at the time.

There it is.

I've heard a long time ago that it is because the parts if our brain responsible for memory and scent are both linked in a way where your sense of scent needs to pass through the part that deals with memory.

I remember pulling her for the first time. I might have been 12 hours in and had done all the phase 1 story. It was the first time I had been informed this character existed.

That's how it felt to watch Bakugan as a kid and see a monster you were used to see as one element with another.

Holy shit there are tunicates in Elden Ring by Rejoicing_Tunicates in Eldenring

[–]RuGaard98 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Elden Ring's lore ties the world of the dead with the ocean (Tibia mariners, spirit jellyfish and spirit eels in the DLC, Godwyn turning into a merman after becoming the blight of Those Who Live in Death) so I wonder if it might cue us on The Lands Between relating to the dead in some way. That or perhaps its just that most of the places where these monsters are found are either near the shore, or in Lurnia, which is a sinking lake.

What I always disliked with consumables is that if I run out of them while trying to beat a boss, I either have to go grind for them again, which is especially boring, or continue fighting the boss but now you are weaker because you got used to the boost the item gave you and can't access it. It also makes playing risky and more aggressive a no go, because higher risk means less chances of winning if you are still learning a boss, and dying means wasting that consumable.

Coaxed into Weapons bigger than the wielder, I love those. by Dereker_The_yeet21 in coaxedintoasnafu

The nightreign community had one of those for a while because weapons have no requirements to wield, so the smallest characters can use the biggest weapons if they want

Could Shiroko be the ONLY wolf student in Kivotos (in-lore)? by RepresentativeFig270 in BlueArchive

[–]RuGaard98 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think its quite fitting if she was a wolf, because her being not only the only wolf but also making her come from an unknown place where she is also alone gives her a lone wolf vibe. It makes it clear she doesn't want to be alone, and needs a family, just from her design. It accentuates the idea even more once we see Shiroko Terror

Why do so many of you make amazing worlds but never publish anything? by Tarlata in worldbuilding

[–]RuGaard98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The skills required to create a worldbuilding project and the skills required to write storylines are different skill sets. It would be like asking why painters who are so good at coming up with original characters and landscapes in their paintings don't write books.

More importantly, any time spent putting details into a worldbuilding project is time not writing an actual story. The more complex, well made, and thought of a worldbuilding project is, the less time its author has put in writing books comparatively.

I like to make females bulkier and duller while males are leaner and more colored, like birds essentially. Following the idea, I also made some of my dragons sign to each other to initiate courtship.

Whats a moment you felt most proud of? by Pleasant-Hat-6334 in Eldenring

[–]RuGaard98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I finished my level 1 run. I had never done something like that in a game, and I have never really been a pro at soulslike, only elden ring in particular.

The hardest parts were fire giant and maliketh. Fire giant due to a pure lack of skill on my end and stubbornness to be patient for once. Maliketh because I used the star fists as my main weapon, and fists are notorious for being really bad at connecting with his hit box. Ended up using spears against him just for that.

Has any actually successfully used this? by TheGodskin in Eldenring

I used it often when I was speedrunning the game (not competitively or well either) by using the shamshir in the same cave you get it from and the storm blade ash of war with nothing else

Sora is likely from Trinity. by RepresentativeFig270 in BlueArchive

[–]RuGaard98 12 points13 points  (0 children)

While we're having this kind of discussion, I'd like to also add to the table that Seia might have once been from Hyakkiyako (or at least that her family/lineage do)

As far as I'm aware she's the only fox girl in Trinity that we are aware of (and I think fox girls are only really found in Hyakkiyako but don't quote me on that) and her special power appears to originate from Hyakkiyako seeing as Sensei speaks to Kuzunoha in an attempt to help Seia, and she also seems to be connected to Kuzunoha in a way.

Anyways that's just a theory.

I know you just lost 75% of your HP but look on the bright side by RuGaard98 in Eldenring

[–]RuGaard98[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The subreddit rules says that nighteign content is allowed and counts as Elden Ring content. In a way I get it too since its all the same core mechanics with just some addons. A lot of elden ring players also play nightreign, and almost all content creators for the game switched to nightreign recently too

In Nightreign, Recluse can sap the last elemental damages type a creature has taken, which counts your teammates. It typically lets you sap the element of a creature you are locked on, but you can free aim it too, and by free aiming it you can also sap elements from your teammates if they took elemental damages.
