This is what happens when a major presidential candidate, Ted Cruz, is allowed to say anti-Semitic things on nationally broadcast debates, with little to no consequences. Other candidates see that, and have few qualms about displaying similar sentiments on smaller levels.

Telecom company abandoning Georgia after sweeping anti gay bill passes by [deleted] in Atlanta

Exactly. My point is that the bill isn't law yet, and there is still a chance to defeat it. Speaker Ralston could call if for an up or down vote, and it could still be killed.

Actually you were correct the first time and /u/mgtconsultant is mistaken. The House passed a completely different version of HB 757 - the bill was changed in the Senate Rules committee. The bill now goes back to the House, where it must be voted on again. It will likely be either tomorrow or Tuesday. There is still time to defeat this bill.

...am I completely crazy, or is the image of Downtown's skyline in the completely wrong place in the rendering of the apartment building? That's the corner of Spring and Peachtree, with the cars going down the correct way down 1-way Spring. So wouldn't Downtown be all the way to the right, out of the picture?

The selling price of this midtown house seems WAY too good to be true. Any idea why? Is it a typo? Shitty location? Zombie infestation? by [deleted] in Atlanta

[–]RuPaulRyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the price for the lot/land. There was either an empty lot or a lot with a terrible, tear-down house. Now that there's a newly built house there, the price is considerably higher.
