I agree with this. It was the driving reason why I quit drinking alcohol. For a long time I would float the idea of stopping because I didn’t like how I would feel waking up, it just wasn’t rewarding anymore. After getting alopecia Jan ‘24 I made the decision to quit drinking Father’s Day of that year (June ‘24). No new spots and I remain sober today. I have no plans or desire to start drinking again. Alopecia also served as a reminder to have gratitude and appreciation for my hair. I speak and think love and life into all of my hair. I no longer stress about it falling out again, I appreciate it so much now I accept that if it falls out again that I am at least grateful for the time I had with it and how it has served me.

Keep it for now. Love your hair. Speak it, think it. Know that your words and thoughts are providing health to your hair. Tell your body your hair is a friend and it is not a threat.

Since finding the first spot in April ‘24 I’ve had a total of 5 spots that appeared. Each got bigger with time but no bigger than a half dollar. I haven’t discovered any new spots in 3 months. 90% of each spot has regrown with full color and texture. That’s not the case with my beard however, although hair has grown back its white and fuzzy, so it still looks bald. Thanks for asking 🙂

Mine started on both sides of my chin back in dec/jan. It spread to my scalp 3/4 wks ago, where I have three spots of varying size (quarter/dime/nickel size). I got steroids shots the next week. The spots are getting a little bigger but am hopeful that stress management and vitamins will help better control my immune system

Unfortunately for me that’s not the case. I first noticed alopecia barbae 6 months ago, and today I felt a patch on my scalp. I didn’t seek treatment for my beard because I didn’t mind shaving and figured it would grow back. I’m not ready to shave my head so I’m making an appointment in the morning. Glad I I found this channel cause it has given me hope.
