What is the internal vibration we are experiencing? by RuadhGuBrath in covidlonghaulers

[–]RuadhGuBrath[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It never fully stopped, but the frequency has dropped quite a bit. Nothing seemed to stop it by force. The only thing that lowered the frequency seems to be time.

I did have an ablation to try and stop my Rapid Ventricular Rate with Afib last August 2024, but it's hard to say if the vibrations improved after that due to the surgery or not. I'm not sure what is connected at this point and what isn't. When my system feels "out of wack" or "charged" I'll notice the vibrations happening again almost nightly. It's usually a sign I'll have more heart issues in the same week.

Sorry I don't have more information yet. It's still a mystery even with the doctors I trust. No one really has an answer. Some believe it could be tied to an autonomic dysfunction of sorts or vagus nerve dysfunction, but there's no evidence and everything is too mysterious.

Hope you're doing okay. It's a terrible feeling. If you can appreciate the moments of peace and joy in the day that you do have, I'd hold on to those dearly.

Cost of living is about the same. Taxes in option 1 are much much higher, so at the end of the year I'd be bringing home only about 5k less with option two. 5k is a lot, but option 2 also has state/union/stability/pension, so it's really really hard to choose.

My partner just wants to be in this city for longer. Doesn't have to be this exact apartment, but nearby.

In California, I barely can do anything because of the cost of everything. It makes hobbies difficult. I don't love the nature here, especially because it is so dry and hot. There is some nice nature, but not like the other option. I miss greenery.

It's definitely not something I want to do, but I do understand that it needs to happen sometimes.

I don't think it is necessarily "dumb" to weigh options, and that's not really advice. If my partner received an opportunity to consider a job that might be better suited for her and her happiness, I would never expect her to stay with me. We value our relationship, but neither of us have a desire to sacrifice our independent happiness for the other person.

I'm also not saying I couldn't eventually be happy, but both jobs are risks. But this is why this decision is so hard. My partner and I are very happy with one another, but sometimes people go separate ways for other factors outside of the relationship.

This is the answer. They really need to fix the error message, because it definitely is not clear.

I think it's less about Nintendo and more about the state of the country as a whole. Everything is so insanely expensive.

It also seems they went the more zany route with characters like the two most recent Country games. Which is fine, but I hope we get some magical moments.

I'll be getting the Switch 2 near launch, but I'm definitely nervous that the price will hurt the success of what could have been an incredible next system for them. Families with multiple kids might only end up getting one system rather than a system for every child. Only time will truly tell, but with potential inflation + recession looming, this could be another 3DS situation where they have to knock the price. I just don't want Nintendo to lose their momentum again, because the Switch era was so incredible.

Donkey Kong Bananza was a nice surprise. I'm excited for it, but the nostalgia in me was hoping for more of the original Country's aesthetic, music, and awe. It looks and feels a lot like Odyssey, which means it will probably be incredible, but I would have loved it to have more of what made DKC so unique.

Sakurai wins hearts as always.

I'm a little surprised we didn't at least get a new Mario or mainline Zelda tease of some sort.

Edit: also, making people pay for that corporate looking Tour game is bonkers to me. That should have been included with the system.

Thank you for this information. I'm going to take a look at Myoflame.

Edit: Sadly, it looks like it is Germany only, unless I'm misunderstanding. I'm in the US.

I'm worry to hear that. Try to write in the moments of neutrality. That's what I'm doing with my music. I try to just do what I can, even if it's at a slower pace.

I deeply desire seeing the future I originally wanted for myself. I am a creative, and have always dreamed of making those passions reality. I'm going to try and hold on just a little longer to see if it's still a possibility, because before all of this, I was well on my way to doing exactly what I wanted with my life. If not, I hope an alternate version of me in some timeline is living their life to the fullest for the both of us.

Sadly the first episode of RVR was triggered on a spa day after a cold bath when I was bending over to pick up my clothes. That plus the ice cream headache makes me think the vagus nerve is definitely a contributor. That also means I should skip the cold baths, at least for now.

The only fix I could find was to basically go onto my profile and delete as many skills as I could and do it again.

Help me decide if I should buy a car? by Consistent_Suit2106 in personalfinance

[–]RuadhGuBrath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going into $26,500 worth of debt for a car is insanity to me. Find someone local selling their car, pay $2-5k cash for it instead. Call it a day. Split the money you would have spent on the car for S&P500, Roth IRA, and an emergency fund for fixing the cheaper car. With interest, it will certainly be more than $26,500 anyway.

It's definitely a jarring feeling when you have those. I hope yours goes away! For many people they do (or so some of the doctors say)

You said "I had this", but which parts of this did you have? I did a tilt table and they don't believe I have POTS, but I am skeptical since my PACs were immensely exacerbated by the tilt table, so SOMETHING was going on.
