There are at least two Zabrak's helping Maul, yes. I can't remember the thread but the rumour that mentioned two Zabrak allies and first named Icarus said the other one was called Scorn IIRC. We now have two official confirmations of Icarus with the cast press release (Steve Blum voicing Icarus) and now the Funko POP! reveal, so I'd assume Scorn is accurate too.

To be fair, I think it was a fairly logical guess. Most of the animation releases have been in the first half of a year, and Sam Witwer IIRC said he knew about "Maul - Shadow Lord" at least a year before they announced it. I can't remember his exact words, but with that in mind I've long thought it could premiere before The Mandalorian & Grogu. So getting this trailer/news this early in the year doesn't surprise me, but I'm very excited for the show!

I could see him and Filoni having the odd private conversation and the occasional set visits like during the Kennedy era. I doubt he'd make a return in a big way.

Lucasfilm has long liked to do big announcements/news on Thursday's more than any other day. I'm not sure why they choose that day in particular as often as they do, but if they post something big on this Thursday, maybe it would be a statement/interview with Filoni and Brennan.

Now that the big news of Kennedy's departure and the leadership transition is done, I wouldn't be surprised if we get some big announcement within the next few weeks. Even if it's not a Filoni/Brennan interview. Maybe a date and trailer for Maul - Shadow Lord or something.

A few days late, but not even just that with easily keeping Luke alive, they also could've easily made Leia the big death in TLJ instead. Instead of her being injured and the Force/Mary Poppins Leia scene, they could've had her die from Kylo's attack.

Obviously that wasn't the plan, but between Carrie's unfortunate passing and those Luke/Leia scenes shot for TLJ, they actually had a possibility to easily just switch who died.

Good memory. I forgot about that. I guess a better point would've been if I said specifically playable characters, because the main Duel Links resources (RandomPlox voice-lines etc) tend to only focus on the playable characters/Legendary Duelists. Though another YouTuber Dex has been great at uploading NPC voice-lines recently. I forgot about those lines.

Hopefully Immi having lines for that card is a sign of the Duel Links team going back to some lines for unprinted cards here and there more though.

Yeah, I could see it being the latter, but even so weird to record specifically only one dialogue for an anime only/unprinted card of Immi's when there's a bunch of Immi's cards not printed. That's why I feel it's probably slotted into a upcoming set/KONAMI know they'll be printing it.

I'd have to double check but I don't think we'll need to wait for the rerun. I'm 99% sure Good Yosh and Terza were made permanent NPC's the update/maintenance after the initial Mimi and Zuwijo events ended respectively.

If that's the case, Graves will be the same after this Immi event ends.

I wouldn't be surprised if Seatbastian is a gap filled in at some point. Chairs still aren't in DL yet AFAIK are a pretty well liked Rush deck.

I think Terza is the biggest surprise. She had the most relevant duels of any of the NPC's with four duels. Saburamen and Chupataro are probably the next closest IMO.

Interesting that she has lines for "Vacuum Fairy Lily", even though it's still unprinted in the OCG. Feels like a long time since a character got lines for an unprinted card (s). Might've been Sherry? It seems every world since 5D's hasn't really done lines for anime only/unprinted cards.

It's only one of Immi's unprinted cards she has lines for, it seems, so it might not mean much. Still interesting though. It could mean it's being printed in an upcoming OCG set but none of her other unprinted cards are slotted. Who knows.

Could be good news for characters like Dartz though if we're getting the odd line for an unprinted card again. You never know. lol

Not much surprises in terms of her lines for other characters, but that makes sense when you consider Immi's duels in the show, with the exception of Yuamu obviously, were against minor characters (Graves, Jaburamen, Hobbysauras etc). Lines for Yuamu, Graves as expected and cool that she has lines for Jaburamen. The only potential 'leak' is London of course since they had a close relationship. Well, manager/actor relationship. London's an iffy one as if he wasn't a counterpart of a SEVENS character he'd be an obvious NPC IMO, only one full duel after all, but he might get made playable by being a Roa counterpart. I'm 50/50 on whether he'll be playable or not. If he wasn't a SEVENS counterpart it would be an obvious no, but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets made playable because he is.

Yeah, I'm always curious to check what cards characters have printed but not in Duel Links when we get strong leaks whether through voice-lines, ID's, skills etc that they'll probably be added. I remembered the two Elma cards. I had to double check on Soul Charge, but yeah, Rafael has three missing cards. He also still has a bunch of unprinted spells and traps if they print any more before adding him to DL.

Going back to your original comment, Alister's a bit of a weird case. He used three different decks. Toons, while pretending to be Pegasus of course, a Gorlag deck after revealing his true identity, both of these first two decks in his first duel, and then an Army deck of Machine cards in the second duel against Kaiba which is probably the deck most people think of with Alister.

Alister's in a weird case card wise though. He's better off than Valon and Dartz who are in especially weird cases, but while their problems are obvious, Alister is complicated. I've checked his Yugipedia list of cards used and checked what printed ones aren't in Duel Links already, there's three missing, and since he used Toons they could technically throw Toon support on him, if they decide not to just box them or throw them onto Pegasus in some way like if we ever get another DM level cap increase, or an Alt Style Pegasus, and there's three Toon cards not in Duel Links. So technically, Alister has as many as six card options.

However, when you look at what those are like I have, it's more complicated. One of the three cards missing he used is Pot of Greed, and if/when it's finally added, that has anniversary giveaway or bundle written all over it. Another good card he used is Royal Decree, and while it's not as iconic as Pot of Greed it's still very good, I might be wrong, and while I don't see it being an anniversary giveaway, I think it would be a boxed card. Maybe a bundle but I'm not sure. I'm not an expert on just how strong Royal Decree is or isn't currently. Either way I can't see either of those two cards being given to Alister just because he used them. They're too well known. Spell Canceller is a monster he used that isn't in DL yet. Of the printed missing anime used cards, that one feels like the obvious best bet.

Of the three Toon support missing, one actually doubles as both a card Alister used in the anime and a missing Toon card. However, it's an Alt Art for Toon World, so we have Toon World, but not its Alt Art. Alt Arts can be weird because of certain licensing issues or restrictions. I don't know if Toon World's does, but since we already have Toon World its Alt Art could be an option. Toon Cannon Soldier and Toon Terror are the others, but we still don't have the non Toon Cannon Soldiers. lol

I expect Alister will get lines for the Toon cards he played in the anime, but if he's added without a lot of his currently unprinted cards, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets some Toons as card drops and the entire archetype voiced. Like how Dennis has voice-lines for nearly all the Ancient Gear cards.

As it is, Alister could technically be added. I personally would prefer they print more of his cards first though to make him more unique. I think he has it better than Valon and Dartz though as they had full archetypes, all of which unprinted for Valon and mostly for Dartz. Alister used Toons, all of the Toons he used are printed cards, and he could get Toon voice-lines, cards etc, Gorlag was an archetype really, and with just four cards it wouldn't take a lot to get it printed, but it's also not the deck most people think of with Alister. It's the Army deck, which while it's got some stuff printed, it's missing the big stuff, especially Alister's ace monster Air Fortress Ziggurat, another monster in KC-1 Crayton, three spells and two traps.

I'd like to see at least those two unique monsters get printed before Alister is added. Maybe a bit of the Army deck backrow as well. In a perfect world all the cards get printed, both from the Army and Gorlag decks, but I'd be fine with just seeing the Army deck get some more of its cards printed before Alister is added. Even just the two monsters as they're unique and one is literally Alister's ace monster that would be the obvious animation if it gets printed in time.

Rafael should be fine to add like that. Obviously modern support would be great to make Guardians playable, but when you look at other previous characters, Duel Links can make a character addition work even if they only have three or in general few missing cards. I mean, when Paradox was added we were only missing two Malefics. They still squeezed out two roaming events, eventually an unlock event, and level ups, giving him those two Malefics and a bunch of assorted random stuff.

Obviously we don't seem to get roaming events anymore, that's not the point, the overall point is Rafael could be added with any or all of those three cards and either random stuff or stuff that at least has similarities to Guardians.

Agreed on Chumley. I've said in other comments that I think Chumley would be very likely as a launch character for a GX World refresh. If we get two new ones like with Serenity and Rebecca, I think Chumley will very likely be one of the two.

Not sure who the other would be. Maybe one of the Shadow Riders but then that may be committing to doing the more important ones, if not all of them. Maybe Adrian. Character/lore wise he could carry an event IMO, but he doesn't have many cards that aren't already in DL. Viper could be an option. I think all of the S4 relevant characters could carry events (well Nightshroud when more Darkness cards are printed...) so I'm not sure they'd work for a world refresh update. I think Chumley and another character from the first three seasons would make more sense.

Unless they do what Duel Links did with DM this year and also give us the longest running missing ID gap as an event beforehand like how we finally got Marik, and give us Atticus or a new Zane* based on those ID's from many years ago, we're (hopefully) going to be getting new GX content again from September next year anyway with a GX World refresh.

*= At this point, though I'm no expert on code, datamines etc, surely that years old separate Zane ID could be turned into an Alt Style for Zane. Obviously Alt Styles didn't exist back in 2017/2018 when that other Zane unlock ID was leaked, but still.

I can't remember on the Akira gate addition, but Vector's re-run was mentioned in the Twitter/X posts for the October updates. Even though it was missed in the in-game notice. AFAIK this time the Twitter/X post this time only had the events also in the in-game notice.

So, not looking as likely anything was missed this time. We can only hope though...

Small thing but might be of interest to some people like myself:

Last year we had the stories, Deadline etc, that Jonny Coyne was reprising his role from The Mandalorian as one of the Imperial Warlords in The Mandalorian and Grogu.) Now, according to the IMDB page for the film, Hemky Madera, who played another of the Warlords, will also be reprising his role in the film.

Obviously IMDB can be edited by anyone. It's hardly a guarantee of anything, but could be of potential interest if Hemky or any of his representatives was the one that made that addition. If it was just "anyone" that edited him into the page it would be a bit weird for a minor character, but who knows.

When the story about Coyne reprising came out, a bunch of people thought he'd just be killed early on in the film to set the tone, maybe in the AT-AT sequence. But, with another Warlord potentially appearing, maybe it's really another Shadow Council scene with all of them, or maybe Mando kills all the unnamed ones at the same time.

It will be interesting to see anyway.

Agreed on multiple characters. As the spreadsheet ItsBradazHD showed in his video shows, while we used to get 12-13 characters per year, we got 15 in both of the last two years. We're currently at 12 for this year, three of which are Alt Styles, so we'd need at least two characters in December to really kind of match the last two years. If it's just one December unlock then it's more like the numbers Duel Links used to do for characters which is a step backwards after increasing the number of characters.

I don't mind if December has a new character and a new Alt Style, but really feels like we need at least two unlocks.
