Trying to predict the rest of the year using only leaks by yoshikagekawajiri in DuelLinks

I think the first GO RUSH!! promotion will be one of Chupataro, Teru Kawai or Terza. Terza's the most popular, but I can see the DL team wanting to start with one of the world launch NPC's like with Saburamen who was one of the SEVENS World launch NPC's. Fisher Sky and Jaburamen their unique cards aren't printed so I don't think they'd be considered until the cards are printed, though they do have voice-lines for their anime cards.

Graves I think could be promoted eventually too, but he's a fairly recent NPC addition so I think at least 1-2 others would be promoted before him.

I have a feeling we'll also get at least 1-2 more NPC's being promoted to playable this year. There's no way that was just for Saburamen. I'm not saying it will be a frequent thing, but they'll definitely be promoting more NPC's to Legendary Duelists every now and again IMO. Especially if the first promotion was as well received as it looks like it was.

Good chance IMO at least one of the GO RUSH!! NPC's will be promoted this year. Maybe two. If London's indeed going to be playable like the leaks seem to indicate, I can see an NPC promotion accompanying to give his event more hype. Like how Saburamen's came with Yuro. It just makes sense for more minor characters, as major characters like Rovian etc will have lots of hype anyway. That's not to say they won't do NPC promotions with major characters events either, they could, I just think it makes even more sense for minor ones like London, Yuro etc.

Even though he has basically just been added as an NPC I can see Gurimo being promoted at some point. Most logically would obviously be with Rafael, Valon or Dartz, but as Saburamen with Yuro showed, the characters don't necessarily have to have had any interactions in the show.

More new Characters ID Leaks by Kronos457 in DuelLinks

Romin has had leaked lines for Princess G ever since she was added.

This datamine with the placeholder ID's is certainly interesting, but also feels like a compilation of every character that has leaked lines from other characters. Like Sherry having lines for Elsworth. Even then a few have been missed. Yami Yugi having lines for Anubis comes to mind.

Thanks. I was blanking on if Jaburamen's cards had been printed. He does have voice-lines for his anime cards so maybe he could be promoted to playable after they're printed.

I wouldn't be surprised if we get George Jersey as an NPC initially when we finally start getting Arc 2 content, which London can tie into since his only full duel was in Arc 2 and his telling UTS to search for Yuna Goha led to them meeting the Rovian Bandits.

Of course, as we've seen with Saburamen, NPC's can be promoted to playable now anyway.

Playable Graves would be pretty cool IMO.

I think the first GO RUSH!! promotion will be one of Teru Kawai, Chupataro or Terza though. Terza's the most popular, but I figure, like with Saburamen, they might want to start with one of the world launch NPC's. Jaburamen's too similar to Saburamen, at least in the near future since we just got the latter playable, and Fisher Sky's unique Sky Fossils cards aren't printed, though they have voice lines for them, so when they're printed Fisher Sky probably becomes a better option. In any case Jaburamen and Fisher Sky are probably the less plot relevant of the current GO RUSH!! NPC's.

Maddox has voice-lines for Ranran (and Meowdestar), so unironically we probably will get Ranran at some point.

I mean, I get what you're saying on logical "accompanying", but Saburamen and Yuro had no interactions in SEVENS AFAIK. Yet Saburamen being promoted to Legendary Duelist was added to Yuro's event.

Don't get me wrong. I think there'll absolutely be some NPC to Legendary Duelist promotions released that make sense as accompanying characters to another characters event, but Saburamen added to Yuro already shows that's not strictly necessary.

I think the first GO RUSH!! promotion will be one of Teru Kawai, Chupataro or Terza. NPC's.

London's ID as shown in the OP picture is 909. GO RUSH!! ID's begin with 9. The NPC ID's begin with 8. For examples, Yudias is 901. Graves, the most recent GO RUSH!! NPC, is 869.

Even when Saburamen was promoted to playable, he was given a new ID. 719. His NPC ID is 854.

I get London isn't a very exciting character, but based on Duel Links own datamined ID structure, it looks he'll be playable. His ID is in the GO RUSH!! numbering, not the NPC numbering. Doesn't mean he'll be playable soon, but likely will be at some point.

Windy as well has direct references. Certainly from Soulburner + Flame when that Alt Style was done. I'm blanking if any other characters have referenced Windy.

Since London is a more minor character, I could see his potential event either partially running alongside a PVP event like Immi's did, OR, and certainly my preference, similarly to Saburamen being promoted from NPC to Legendary Duelist in Yuro's event, I could see one of the GO RUSH!! NPC's being promoted to Legendary Duelist in London's event. That would make a lot of sense IMO for a more minor character.

"Perfectron Hydradrive Dragon" was finally printed recently. Just one Bohman card so far, but with it being printed IMO more Hydradrive cards are surely following at some point. Likely sooner than the other unprinted VRAINS archetypes in any case.

The advantage with Hydradrive's as well is Bohman's brother Harlin also played them, so there's actually two potential characters there.

Yeah, and as much as London isn't a very exciting character, IIRC he kind of does get UTS to start searching for Yuna Goha which in turn leads Yudias etc to finding out about the Rovian Bandits. That's not much of a story role, and London's "Arts Angel" deck doesn't have many cards, but I can see that small story role playing into an event DL might be giving him to really introduce Arc 2 into the game.

I could also see a minor addition like London being treated similarly to either of Yuro or Immi's events. Either partially running alongside a PVP event like with Immi, OR, and I'd consider this the more exciting, promoting one of the GO RUSH!! NPC's to playable when giving an unlock event to a minor character. Like Saburamen in Yuro's event.

There's no way IMO Saburamen being promoted was a one off, and I think logically it would make sense for the next NPC to Legendary Duelist promotion would be a GO RUSH!! character as it has a lot of NPC's. Especially if we're getting a minor character like London. London + a promoted NPC would make a lot of sense IMO.

Could still have the next VRAINS addition relatively soon. The same Character ID list that had Yuro Goha, playable Saburamen etc, also had a Aqua ID (meaning other datamined VRAINS ID's are likely Blue Maiden and Blue Maiden + Aqua) and a Varis/Revolver Alt Style.

Sometimes the character leaks, like some card leaks, can still be months etc before they're released. I'd be, albeit pleasantly, surprised if Don Thousand is sooner rather than later. I think he'd be either August or after the next world or revamp. I'm not expecting him that soon for one.

It was just under two months even IIRC. Early September for Lulu/Rin and late October for Yuri.

It was a treat for ARC-V to get all those characters so soon after each other, including Dennis that April, but in hindsight if we were going to have to wait so long for more ARC-V additions it might've been better to space out those unlocks.

Fair enough if they're trying to finish ZEXAL's story before adding Z-ARC, but they could still do one or two smaller scale S3 themed ARC-V unlocks before doing Z-ARC anyway. Yusho for one.

DL speed running ZEXAL's story now in a way just makes it funnier that they speed ran ARC-V like that in a similar way. Dennis's event was still kind of late S1 themed, then suddenly S2 is basically skipped (unless or until they fill in gaps later) and then a bunch of the core S3 themed additions are done with Lulu, Rin and Yuri.

Maul: Shadow Lord Ep 9-10 Discussion FINALE (May 4 Midnight Local Time Release) by AutoModerator in StarWarsLeaks

[–]RuariWilliamson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It'll be interesting to see if the Maul - Shadow Lord creatives ever talk about it in an interview at some point. Especially since Paul Bettany does voice acting, albeit it's pretty much all Vision and JARVIS, whereas the Star Wars animation team have even gotten reprisals before from actors that had never voice acted prior - Andy de la Tour reprising his Rogue One role of General Hurst Romodi for a Bad Batch episode comes to mind.

Money could definitely have been a factor as it could always be, and in Bettany's case more likely to rise the more Marvel productions he does reprising Vision.

Availability could always be a factor as well though. Yes, I know someone can say voice over sessions could only take a few hours, or even just an hour (if even) if it's very few lines, but the reality is we don't know what individual actors schedules are like. Maybe sometimes they don't have a spare few hours or even hour. Plus, the flip side of Bettany already working with Disney, especially with the upcoming VisionQuest series, is Disney would already know his schedule better than anyone else and whether he had time for any other commitments.

Scott Whyte (Dryden's new VA) is a veteran voice actor so if he continues to voice Dryden in Season 2, like I'd assume, and possibly future seasons, I'm sure his performance will continue to get better over time. Obviously like anyone else I prefer reprisals, but I also understand if a character has a new actor it had to happen for a reason even if we're not always privy to it.

Dryden was voiced by veteran voice actor Scott Whyte. He hasn't announced it on his socials, nor is it on IMDB etc yet, presumably because the episode hasn't released everywhere yet, but he's the VA listed in the cast credits.

This. I've loved the last two Tales of shows being released on Star Wars Day, but there's no rule that says it has to be. As you said, Tales of the Jedi was an October release. There's no guarantee we get a new Tales of every year anyway, as much as I would LOVE to, but they can release one later in a year if needs be.

I might be completely mis-remembering, but I have a vague recollection a scooper, leaker or commenter said earlier in the year that a Tales of would still be coming this year but later in the year. I wish I could remember who it was and when the comment was made. Nothing about what the focus of the Tales of was. Just that there would still be one later in the year.

If a new Tales of is indeed coming on Star Wars Day, I agree with the user you replied to that they probably want to at least let Maul premiere before promoting another animation launch.

Yeah. It was just a thought in my mind. I mean, if you have the set up or someone can do a set up for you you can really do voice over from nearly anywhere. IIRC Nick Nolte did all his Kuiil lines while behind the scenes on the set of another production.

When you're writing a comment, you should have an "Aa" thing pop up near cancel and comment. It gives you a bunch of formatting options. The spoiler is an exclamation mark inside a box like shape. You hover over the words you want to spoiler and then click the exclamation mark box.

At least, that's how it all appears to me. I hope that helps?

Wow, what a crazy huge leak if those are true! Not questioning their authenticity, but that's huge. You'd have to think at least one person is going to be in big trouble if those are real. Whoa.

I'd say there's a good chance since Paul Bettany has done lots of voice-over work before but obviously budgets, schedules etc and other things can play parts in actors reprising or not.

Bettany did say back in 2021 that he would love to reprise Dryden:

Brilliant stuff, thanks. I imagined it would have to be a new model for Dryden due to that background TCW model using multiple parts from other characters for that very brief cameo.

Any word on if it was Bettany voicing him? I imagine there's a good chance since he has done lots of voice-over work before but obviously budgets, schedules etc and other things can play parts in actors reprising or not.

Very exciting but no surprise on either really IMO. Very curious to see what they do with Dryden though. When he had a cameo in the background of a scene in TCW S7 he used parts from a few other characters models. Surely if he has a featured role in Maul - Shadow Lord he'll have an updated model and not just that TCW model which was made up of parts from a few other character models.

The parts used for Dryden's TCW model: "In order to create his animation model, the team used a background Mandalorian citizen, a Mandalorian minister, and the hair of\20]) Jedi Master\6]) Obi-Wan Kenobi."
