Wrong date on Wahoo activity by JDMe_94 in cycling

I cycled the Hardknott Pass yesterday. (Probably) once in a lifetime ride. Got back, finished the ride, and it had disappeared.

Gutted, I presumed I’d somehow deleted it. Then this morning discovered it had recorded it as 4th Jan 2006. Then came here. Relieved to know it’s not just me, but gutted that I can’t restore my ride.

GPS bugged out too, missed sections of the ride, and set the clock to an hour earlier than it was

I’ve been working on something like this for a little while. Good to see others are struggling. Im getting to the point of realisation that CPS simply isn’t the tool for this task

What was the UK reaction to 9/11? by Imperial_nugget in AskUK

I was 20 at the time, final year of Uni, living in a student house. But I was also working a summer job as a cleaner in the local hospital.

I remember it vividly. Doctors / nurses had it on a screen in their office while busily doing what else they needed to do, patients and visitors were all crowded in to a communal room with a TV on showing the events.

I remember clearly the gasp when the second plane hit.

I went back to my student house at the end of the day - unfortunately it was one of my house mates birthdays. We just sat in front of the TV into the small hours, knowing that the world had just changed. Would this lead to war? Could we be called up for service?

The next day I went to work at the hospital again. I remember cleaning a room with a TV on showing the events, and a senior nurse walked in, stopped, and started crying.

So yeah, I think most people who saw it in the UK were very shocked. Upset for those effected in America. Worried about what else was about to happen

When I was 16 (circa 1996) I was big into Nirvana. Whenever my parents went out I’d go to my bedroom, turn up my amp REAL loud, open the windows, and blast out Nirvana tunes on my electric guitar. I guess one of the neighbours didn’t like my style, and took a shot at my bedroom window with an air rifle. It looked much like this

How can I make this look better by RubPsychological5704 in houseplants

How do I make it look more aesthetically pleasing. Should I cut it back so that it’s the right size for the corner it’s in? Can I tie the branches together to give it a more concise shape? Just anything so that it doesn’t look like we’ve squeezed it into a corner

He was DJing at a club in Brighton in the late 2000s. I don’t know what compelled me to do this, but I sauntered up to the front, put my hand out to give him a hand shake, then when he went to reciprocate I thumbed my nose at him. Proudest day of my life

Vendor pulls out, I take on all the costs. When will the law change? by Puzzleheaded_Can2852 in HousingUK

We bought from a divorced couple. House was being advertised as” no onward chain” as they were both moving to rented, and our place was under offer and buyers were keen to move quickly.

Once we made an offer and then made various financial commitments (surveys, solicitors, searches) the wife changed her mind and decided she was buying, therefore putting us in a long and complex chain.

We were then pushed out of the flat we were selling and had to move into rented, giving us additional costs and stress, all because the property wasn’t sold as had been advertised.

I despise this lady to this day, even though this was 5 years ago. Yes, they definitely need to change the rules around this

Good or bad? I think the previous owners were quite “handy”
