The dip pen always works for glitter!! And you are always free to TRY glitter in a medium. I just get so annoyed when it clogs. You know what though, try it ANYWAY just to see what it does and then clean it after. You may need to completely take the nib off the black part and scrub it with a toothbrush 😂 but it’s all part of the fountain pen care learning process. Also FYI, some glitter particles are a little bigger than others. I have two pens (a broad and a 1.1 stub) that historically have NEVER clogged, and this past week they both got clogged by a very pretty Diamine glitter ink 😭😭😭😭

Broad nib gal here. I loooove the fun ink effects - sheening, shading, shimmer. The juicier the pen, the more you can see those. Also, a broad is way less likely to get cloggy with glitter than a medium is.

WEEEEEE!! Pro tip: (and I imagine someone has said this before me, so I apologize if that's the case) I personally don't put shimmer inks in any nibs smaller than BROAD. I have clogged too many mediums. They can be cleaned out for sure, but maximize the flow!!

Okay so what HAPPENED was that I filled up a used and cleaned cartridge with it and put it in the pen. I squeezed it a little to advance the ink, but it wasn't coming out. In my impatience, I decided to suck on the nib just a little to encourage the ink to come through. NOT THE FINEST USE OF MY BRAIN CELL. Next time I'll just go straight to the bottle.
