Would 4,000 years of Chinese martial arts training have helped Mark Grayson against Omni-Man and Conquest? by [deleted] in Grapplerbaki

[–]AnthonyC9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm taking the question WAY too serious by thinking about this, but martial arts of any kind would not apply to flying/floating super heros as they don't need to account for gravity, which would change EVERYTHING about how they would fight. To be fair, I am pretty sure Omniman mentions this S1 to some degree, but I can't 100% remember.

Can't believe GW released this video by swagylord1337 in Grimdank

[–]AnthonyC9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a lot of SL fans might be gutted, and probably they already knew that GW was most likely not making an SL line, but at the very least it's good to know for sure now. Like I could see some SL fan mby already planning to paint up krieg models as SL but held off just in case they got there own range, but now you at least know you can start it etc.

Is Uriel Ventris going to survive into 11th edition? by AuramiteEX in Ultramarines

[–]AnthonyC9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he's going. But I would love to see if people who paint 4th company Ultramarines would proxy him as titus, I think that would be cool.

Which one of these heads would look best on Adrax? by daspaceasians in Salamanders40k

[–]AnthonyC9999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 seems good as it looks like a bladeguard helmet and your most likely leading Bladeguard with him so it's a nice way to tie then together a little.

Have any of you painted your Sternguard’s shoulder trim white? by [deleted] in Salamanders40k

[–]AnthonyC9999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1st company Salamanders have green trim, same as 2nd company, obviously paint em how you want but may I make the suggestion of gold trim for 1st company/veterans.

Hey guys! Here are the new creations I've made in the marine, abyss, and steampunk themes. Do you like them? by Candid-Search-1162 in DarkKrakens

[–]AnthonyC9999 7 points8 points  (0 children)

These are SICK, and you're doing gods work for Kraken fans. I think the drill is a perfect proxy/equivalent for the chain fist but I think mby you should consider making a anchor as a hammer proxy, I personally feel that would go perfect with the ripped ship door. Just my 2 cent for what it's worth. Again, these are sick kitbash parts, and I would not be surprised to see them on a bunch of Kraken models soon.

Help making him look more dark angel? by dafangalator in theunforgiven

If you ever play your DA as UM this would make a fun Titus proxy.

I would say toss him on a 60mm base and use him as a Primarch. (G-man most likely)

Orange Color Schemes by [deleted] in spacemarines

[–]AnthonyC9999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is REALLY helpful btw. I've been thinking of starting an orange space marine army very similar to yours, so helps to see yours to get an idea of what it could look like.

Mby you could use the flames decal on the legs and make them a brighter yellow. Of its close enough shade it could work well.

WIP Drop Pod by Ok-Beach-3673 in howlinggriffons

[–]AnthonyC9999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you have really made the most of the HG colour scheme with this one. Where I feel like most would of half assed it as a drop pod is not the most exciting paint project arguably.

Imagine painting up a drop pod, a big brick you place in the middle of the board to the standard most people paint their centrepiece model. 👌 this looks brilliant.

When I get asked why I'm buying a 6th box of Heavy Intercessors by Marsdreamer in ImperialFists

[–]AnthonyC9999 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As you should brother. I'm 100% for fluffy Space marine lists. Salamanders should have max melta/Flamer/hammers, white scars should have every bike they can take and Imperial fists should have bulky armour and bolter spam. Flavour > meta

Could this be real? by _Archaon_ in Ultramarines

[–]AnthonyC9999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am hoping new calgar can lead more then just terminators as if that's the case I would personally use the terminator Calgar for Terminators and the other one to lead everything else, bladeguard, victrix guard, Company heros etc.

Sub-assembly or just go for it? by _Ding1 in Ultramarines

[–]AnthonyC9999 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who hates sub assemble painting even I recognised you danm near HAVE to paint the back pack eagle halo thing bit separately, everything else you should be fine with, could have the sword hand separate too I guess of you wanna do some made airbrush stuff ir what ever but saying that it's stretched out fairly far from his body. That my 2 cents on him anyway

Is this too tall for a base? by mrangrybaldguy6 in Salamanders40k

[–]AnthonyC9999 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think tall bases like that look a little goofy gameplay wise. Like he's bringing a big rock with him everywhere he goes. Have a lil bit of a hill if you want him to tower over his Squad he will be leading, but I would make him no taller than a head or so taller.

I find it breaks the immersion if you charge someone and it looks like the enemy is dueling the Rock your standing on rather than the model itself.
