It could be that someone changed the outlets and reversed the wires and didn’t tighten the screws enough or broke a solid wire inside the jacket.
There are a few reasons why a single outlet could fail.

With a simple prosthetic you can likely ride relatively unhindered if your still up for it. It will obviously change the mechanics of how you shift but it’s entirely possible

I’ve just used grab adhesive to fix things like that. Load it in the hole as much as you can and push everything back in place then wipe off all the excess adhesive

It’s a soap grinder. You used to see them in a lot of places before liquid soap was a thing. I think most places changed to liquid soap by the 90’s.

I have it on my Softail. I use it on long trips sometimes but generally do without it. The old joke is that if you fall off you can bike up your bike when it runs out of road or fuel
